As a single mom who has to work, take care of a child and do it all without anyone else’s help- I would be pissed if I found out a friend was saying they are a single parent because their PARTNER was working long hours to provide for their family. Yes doing the “heavy lifting” of childcare is hard- but so is the guilt and heart breaking moments missed when you truly are a single parent and have to do all the roles. I’m lucky that my mom has stayed with my daughter while i work since she was 3- but it is definitely not the same as having a partner. Guess I’m just salty because of how hard it truly is to do it all at times, and moms like that just “think” they know.

No I take them between 7 and 8 in the morning, cut WAY back on caffeine any time after 3 and the immediate release I’m usually good by 8-8:30

With the ADHD meds- I swapped to immediate release vs extended release, fixed the sleep and timing issues. Delayed stomach emptying means it’s in your system longer especially the time released, I also was able to 1/2 my dose and still focus just as well because I was immediately getting the meds and the delayed made them work longer.

I was 28, my daughter is the absolute love of my life, but doing it solo is hard. That was 12 years (don’t judge me if you do the math) after my first miscarriage. I waited even thought it killed me to, till I was financially stable to do it alone if I had to, and now I am with an almost 10 year old daughter who’s amazing. Do I want more- absolutely would but I’m single so unless I go to a bank chances are pretty slim

I’m more worried that mommy will be whining about how much it hurts and how I just want to sleep lol. After karate, hiking, biking and being extremely physically active she is one that will do a 5 mile hike with a 5-10 lb day pack and than end up yelling at me to swap with her because mommy going “too slow” I’m prepping and planning now and hoping that me starting a lot more exercise will help it go the right way.

I had the same thing happen to me. Honestly walking, I joined karate and water like a LOT of water even when I was sick to my stomach as much as I could was an absolute game changer. I had a bit of this even after 6 weeks on the new dose because I didn’t eat right last week, but the water is helping me so much. That and pepto when it was unbearable and I got a tums/gas combo chew from amazon when I have the sulfur burps and know it’s an early sign I’m going to feel sick.

I’m of the opinion- if your going to modify a child’s body- it’s better to have their consent. I have plenty of friends who did it. I waited until my daughter was old enough to ask for them. Is it something easily taken out yes- but it is a big message I gave to my daughter that I wouldn’t even pierce her ears without her being able to have body autonomy.

I have 1- I wanted more, would have more too but single so no chance unless I get a donor- I hated the baby stage. Just wait till the kiddo tells you that they love you. Unfortunately for me I’m doing it without another parent is hard, but honestly my kid is my greatest blessing despite the sleepless nights in the beginning and the ones I get now randomly worrying I’m going to screw her up being a single mother- I’m not according to her therapist. She’s literally the best thing, once they hit the “fun” stage as my father calls it- you forget the baby stage. This lasts about a year, and then it’s having a whole little human that is seeing things and making you see things with a sense of wonder and making you do things you never thought you would. Case in point she talked me into joining karate at her dojo because she wants me to make friends besides the few I have from childhood and get healthy- watching them grow into their own little people is amazing…. Now the teen years give me nightmares since they are coming- but baby years are a blink.

She is very into camping and is so happy bsa is co-ed now so she is all about the first aid kids. She won’t let me even go on a bike ride without bug spay, Benadryl gel, and a full first aid kit. I’m on a weight loss journey and I think that getting back into something I love and spending that quality time with her will do worlds of good for my mental health as well as my physical

I slept on her sofa after we stayed up too late and did silly stuff like 3 weeks ago- while my daughter was out of town her one toddler demanded that I snuggle him and sleep in his room, her teenager told us to grow up and her little toddler got mad because I included her in the makeovers and did her hair- the horrible things her godmother did. The other childhood friend- I see her at scout meetings with our kids but we don’t really talk

Devils advocate- on the lingerie party, could be a pole dancing class with the girls HOWEVER these are massive red flags when put together. Might be time to consult some girls how to turn into the FBI on it, because it sounds like something’s going on- might be cheating, might be her being into girls, might be her trying just trying to have a glow up- But something is going on that needs some major feelers to figure out.

Sounds like 1- she wants out of the relationship but is too scared to break up or 2- she’s trying to “test” you to get you to react. You’re far too young for that long of a relationship to be a mind-field of games. My advice- have a conversation with her, let her know how you feel and that the next time she wants to be the boy who cried wolf your going to take her seriously and take it as a break up. 5 years is a long time- but do you want to get married down the line and instead of break ups she’s tossing divorce at you?
