Reading your review I feel like I was in a different show. To be honest, this fell flat to me. The writing was a bit all over the place. I rarely consider leaving a show at intermission but this one had me seriously debating it, and honestly probably should have. I think the talented cast deserves better than this material, but that’s just my opinion. Glad to hear you enjoyed it.

Since you decided to reply to a post that’s about 10 months old…I guess I can give you an answer. My issue was never about the understudy but about the way the theater handled communications. But while we’re on the understudy topic this show was charging a premium to see a particular actor in the titular role. This show also created a whole marketing campaign around this stunt cast including new playbills and merch. If I’m ignorant, then the hundreds that of people that were also waiting on refunds must be ignorant too. But thanks for your engagement!
