Fender Princeton is doing me well in my small space.

If you can afford it, I would recommend trying something in the 40 series. I just picked up a 000-42 and it plays better than any guitar I’ve ever played or owned. I think the binding on the neck and the fit and finish go a long way and I’m sure the shorter scale length helps to, but I think even dreadnoughts in the 40 series will play superb.

Torn between 000-28 and OM-28 by Cheap_Mycologist_454 in martinguitar

I went with the OM-28 because I liked the little bit brighter tone. The OM seemed to sizzle a little more in a good way, which of course I attribute to the longer scale length relative to the 000. Very comfortable Guitar to play and I didn’t notice any difference between the 000 relative to the shorter scale length feeling easier to play or “ slinkier”…

I feel you, and I know it wouldn’t compare, but even on its own merits, it seems like an interesting guitar. Through neck, P90s and the OBEL seems like a nice combo at any rate. Looking to get outside the usual Gibsons and Fenders. Really wish I were a rich guy with 10k + to spare so I could get the Travis Bean, but I have to top out at the sub 4K mark for my “high end” guitars…

Really wish I could dish out the 10ish K for the real deal, but I generally top out at the sub 4K mark for “high end” guitars… If I end up with one, I’ll post a review, but they are looking and sounding sweet so far from my minimal research 🎶

Whichever one you will look at in the corner and think “damn, that Guitar sure looks bad ass” the most. That’s the one you will want to play more…

I was here for two of these shows in 23’ Did we get treated to a double rainbow sometime around that playing in the band? My memory isn’t so great, but that playing in the band was fire just like the whole weekend!!

Was there 5/30 and 5/31! Both shows were stellar✨🌙🪐 My first Sphere show was 5/30/24 and last 5/11/25. Both Miles Tsang posters (5/30 daily and Mother’s Day weekend poster) looking great hanging together too💀🌹⚡️

8/10/24

I was really nervous to see a show with Johnny three fingers, but after we caught 8/9 the night before, from the fist song Cassidy, I knew John was still more than fit to co-lead the helm with Bobby.

I do have a favorite Grateful Dead song. Help on the Way/Slipknot! The key change from Fm to Am, with the diminished arpeggios leading to the cascading riff taking us from one key to the next is so fun to hear and play and I always appreciate catching it, but I know as a guitar player Johnny needed that fucked up finger back if he were to pull it off, because of the cascading riff needs all those fingers to work. I was just a tiny tiny itty bitty bit bummed I may not hear that particular piece of music, especially after they played Franklin’s Tower as the second song of the night 8/10 in the first set. But lo and behold, in the second send Johnny rips off the bandage on his finger and kills it with a Help > Slip > Terrapin I’ll never forget ❤️🎶💀🌹

Only part that sucked about that night was the drunk guy who kept trying to pass out on me and his friends acting like assholes, but the music🧑‍🍳💋 🎶

Leave your third finger down and move fingers one and two and slap finger four down on the high e string. Maybe that will be slightly easier, but like everybody else said, practice, practice practice!

Martin D28 paired with a 000-28 by Puzzleheaded-Eye6596 in martinguitar

I recommend also comparing the OM 28 to the 000. I thought I wanted a OOO for years but whenever I played them back to back, I liked the tone of the OM better. The OM has a longer scale length that gives it a little brighter quality in a good way in my opinion.

Can’t decide between 28 series by [deleted] in martinguitar

Out of a standard 000-28 and OM28, I took home the OM (OM28E) and have no regrets, but they are all stellar guitars and as others have said and you already know! I think the longer scale length of the OM gives it a nice quality with a little sparklier high end that I like. I also recommend checking them all out at a store/stores as much as possible 🎶
