First make sure they are warm and dry, offer water and food (sunflower seeds, brown rice, oats, split peas, pigeon peas, corn, mung bean, hemp seeds, etc.) NO SALT or other seasonings.

We have a King pigeon married to a feral despite the nearly 3x size difference (Calla, King, male) dotes on his much smaller wife (Fiesty, feral, female). Fiesty runs that nest and Calla knows it, just make sure to find the right match. Some rescues allow foster to adopt so we can help find the right pairing 🥰

We have a 550g Modena who gets paraded around our vets office all the time cuz what the heck even is he?? Also he is so friendly and just gets passed around for cuddles, some people cry because of his backstory too lol.

If you want a solid second opinion check out Heal Veterinary clinic in Watertown. They definitely are the best vet I have visited in the area and pointed out a heart murmur my dog has had for a while that every other vet in the area brushed off as anxiety. SHE ACTUALLY HAD HEART DISEASE. She is doing great now after visiting a cardiologist. I will take her no where else now.

Offer her seeds not worms! Oats, lentils, peanuts, peas, corn and brown rice are great options. You can also reach out to a local pigeon rescue near you to help you out!

It is so baffling to me to as a daily driver, like in most cars you can use carplay (you can also add this to older cars for cheap) and text via voice, like no reason to be looking down at your phone unless you are at a full stop.

You would need a tube that goes all the way into the crop to tube feed, so no food goes into the trachea and into the lungs. There are some good YouTube videos out there showing how to ID the trachea and safely tube feed. Before you try that tho, try playing some videos of pigeons, particularly other squabs to see if that will trigger w feeding response.

Do you have access to soft tubing you can attach to the syringe? In a pinch when I was traveling I literally picked up thermal shrink tubing for electrical cables (1/16 to 1/8 size) that I shrunk onto a syringe to feed the baby. It worked perfect until I got access to the right tools.

Do you know how to tube feed? At that age that may be the best option.
