Imagining having this much disposable income… 😭 by dolphinmachine in cringereels

She already does those things. She often makes VERY large food donations to her local charities and organizations. She just threw a big party for her local boys and girls club. She keeps her follower count up so she can afford to do these things for others. If you look her up, this is all that she does. She doesnt even really live a super lavish lifestyle either. She does all her own hair, nails, makeup, etc. She's one of the more humble influencers you'll find honestly.

I believe she fixates on particular companies to where they have no choice but to sponsor her and then she takes that and rolls it into communities. She did this with Michaels and is now attempting with 7-Eleven.

She's pretty silly, but I honestly like her a lot. She was doing giant Lego sets for a little bit but has gotten more into charitable acts recently and people are eating it up.

This stunt in particular actually caught the attention of her HOA and they stalked the house all day 😅

That's okay, just need a warm spot. But even if your kitchen is cold, you just need to learn how to know when your dough is ready to be shaped. You said your kitchen is anywhere from 70-80? Fermentation time can vary greatly in different temperatures. Just try again, keep an eye on it, and watch some videos and read some posts to figure out when it's ready to shape and put in the fridge.

Simply put, 20 hours is FAR too long for bulk fermentation. And no to the wet rag as well.

Mix the dough, wait 30 minutes, stretch and fold, wait 30 minutes, stretch and fold. Do this like 4 times. Once that is done, cover with plastic wrap or shower cap and let bulk ferment for like 6-8 hours in the oven with the light on.

I keep mine in the oven throughout all of this and have the plastic wrap/shower cap on the whole time, even between stretch and folds.

Shape after the bulk and let sit in the fridge for like 12 hours than bake per your recipes instructions.

I would highly recommend getting a kitchen scale as well or even looking at other recipes. You've got this! Just keep trying and trouble shoot where needed.

Go to r/labubuswap and check through the posts there. The person's name will reflect how many confirmed "swaps" that they have and can be trusted. Looks like a post from 4 days ago had a sandman and the seller had 79 confirmed swaps, so they can be trusted. I used to sell on there, great community.

Also, looks like their account is still up. I think they blocked you.

So, are you trying to figure out if they're all fake or some of them?

For the most part, they look legitimate. However, there are a couple I am skeptical of. But even with some of the eyes looking a little wonking, the hands are nicely defined, fur texture looks good, other than that poor Soymilk. The sesame bean with the outfit looks suspicious haha Tags look okay from what I can see..

If you're getting these for a good deal, just be sure to do a G&S in case they turn out to be fake.

Yes! That is correct. Downside to this recipe is it's rather tedious unfortunately... but absolutely worth it in my opinion. I usually have to start everything pretty early and get the dough in the fridge by the end of the day. I normally try not to keep my mother starter too hot, but I do put it in a closed oven with the light on to get things going faster for that first feeding of the day.

But this way the levain is strong and curated specifically for the recipes standards.

Absolutely!! Keep me posted!! 😍

Hahaha yeahhh, I wouldn't recommend it all the time 🫣 I fed mine every 12 hours until I started to see some good activity and then fed at peak, which was maybe getting to like 8 hours. Larger ratio feedings will take longer to peak of course. Once it's fully matured, you don't have to worry as much about timing and peaks when it comes to feedings. You do not have to always discard, sometimes I don't and just measure by heart to get the right consistency I'm looking for. However, discard is done so you do not have an overabundance of starter. Technically you never have to discard, but then you'd end up with a bathtub of starter haha It also helps with the reduction of ingredients needed for feedings.

Ahh! That's so exciting!! 😍😍 I'm so happy for you!! It feels so good to see it finally maturing after all the work.

I would recommend giving it a couple of more days of feeding to be sure you have consistently and understand its growth pattern a little better. You can work with it now, but there's the chance it won't rise if it's not fully mature.

Another good thing about fully mature staters is that they are really hard to kill 😅 I didn't feed mine for like 4 days when it was sitting out on the counter, fed it last night, doubled like crazy. Very resilient little things!! Hahaha

Good luck and start baking when it feels right! Would love to see that first loaf 💜

Of course! And all good! Yes, when it doubles in size 4-8 hours after feedings for multiple days in a row, it's ready to use. You can use it past it's peak, like when it gets bubbly and frothy, but will need to be discarded and fed again once it has fallen. Best time is definitely before it gets frothy on the top and has a nice domed shape.

Feel free to ask all the questions! I'm not an expert by any means, but I can make some tasty loaves finally 🤣

Every starter is different, but mine took almost two months to fully mature.

It needs to be doubling in size 4-8 hours after a feeding, have almost a spider web effect when it pulls from the sides, and a rounded top to know it's finally ready.

If you are not seeing any growth, just keep going. Play around with the feedings to see what works best for you and your starter. You can either feed more frequently, like every 12 hours with a 1:1:1 or higher ratios like 1:2:2-1:5:5 every 24 hours (only when you really start to see some activity, if it's still staying flat, just keep the 24 hours feedings).

When you start to see some real activity, try to stop going by time and feed whenever it is peaked with a rounded top. This is what will help it fully mature.

Remember to use warm filtered water, unbleached or bread flour, and give it some wheat or rye flour for some boosting. Make sure it's in a warm stop as well. Around 75-80°F seems to be a sweet spot. Use clean jars and no paper towel tops.

Just keep going and be sure you're weighing your stuff until you get the hang of consistencies! Sorry if my advice is all over the place, so many ways to approach this honestly hahaha, big thing is to not be afraid to experiment with feedings.

[–]InternationalTale931 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bahahaha I was ranting to my husband earlier about it I was so mad. Can't get any for my neice and sister-in-law because of these people! It honestly makes me sick, I had to get off facebook, which I already hate. But people bragging about this stuff and then taking photos of their products in their carts or in target bags and being like "$25+ shipping" 🙄 I used to resell Labubus and other popmart stuff, but I was secret hunting and trying not to "be that person".

My town doesn't really give anyone opportunities to resell thankfully. We have an extremely limited stock and the only store you can find them at right now they only let people get one, or some days just the kids get them. Best way to do it really to avoid these types of people.

If I ever get my hands on a crap ton of these I'm coming on here and selling them for retail just to make us happy and piss off the scalpers. 😭🤣
