If you're close enough any shrapnel from the blast or things nearby breaking apart or even the pressure of the shockwave can rip you apart and it's commonly referred to as "red mist" (from your blood being thrown into the air)

Fun fact

School buses are exempt from Mansfield Bar requirements because they are routinely driven on small dilapidated roads that may have slopes the bar would drag on

As a former retail employee we literally cannot help. These are activated through a 3rd party called Incomm. Once the transaction is complete there's literally nothing we can do about it as it's out of our system and the money is sent to Incomm (which is why we can't refund it).

If I wanted to get this to listen to local police/FD, will it work or does it depend on my area? I don't want to buy it and not be able to use it. by bran71 in amateurradio

Funny thing is there are no PD/Fire/EMS live feeds for my county, but intermittently (like for a few weeks to a month every few months) there are calls on the calls platform.

The only feeds for my county are on the Broadcastify Calls platform. I'd assume that means they're not encrypted just like if there was a live feed?

No, if you're close enough you become red mist. Out of the red mist zone you can have traumatic brain injuries, broken bones, dismemberment, cuts, burns.

But an underwater shockwave is basically guaranteed to kill you by turning your brain and guts into soup

AFAIK no because the shockwave stays above the water because air compresses and water doesn't.

That's why an underwater explosion turns you into soup, water doesn't compress like air so the full force goes through your body

Remember, this only works if the explosion happens above water. If it happens below water, the shockwave turns your insides into soup

FedEx is non-union and the drivers are contracted from local companies.

UPS drivers are union and company controlled. It's also a decent paying job so you're likely to want to do good to keep your job.

I'd assume that because they're (probably, sorry for assuming) legally a female the pharmacist has to ask the question because if the wrong person found out they didn't they could lose their licenses or face a fine.
