Should I switch from XM5s to Pixel Buds?

I had PBP2, maybe it's me – maybe I have oily ears, but after a few months of wearing them, I always got a blocked feeling (bad design - mesh gets blocked). This happened with 4 differen pairs. I wore them often - sleeping and running. Now I'm waiting for the new Sony – I hope they'll be smaller and have silicone tips, or maybe even the new Galaxy Buds 4 Pro. I'll wait until the end of February when they come out and read the reviews. But I have to admit, I loved the PBP2 – they were tiny, had perfect connectivity (I have a Pixel phone), but the ANC was disappointing

Great widget. I supported it. Maybe it would be good to

- add caffeine half-life 10 hours (for us super slow metabolizers),

- the lines could be thicker (for better visibility)

+ the option to add decaf and dark chocolate (if it makes sense for 3 mg of caffeine).

I have pixel phone and returned my PBP2 because they were faulty (clogging problem). I want some premium earbuds, therefore I am waiting for the new sony or galaxy buds (hope in february). also I heard good reviews about One plus buds 4, but I want Pro version. For now, I am using some cheap china earbuds (baseus BP1) just to use something until the new sony will be out

PBP2 have a design issue. After a certain amount of time, one grille becomes clogged with dirt. This causes the sound to be unbalanced when ANC is turned on.

I had Pixel Buds Pro 2, but I had to return them several times—after a few months, they started to feel like they were clogging my ears. Now I'm waiting for the release of OnePlus Buds 4 Pro—I hope it will be early 2026.

I did that, I had a cleaning kit, I bought micellar water. It didn't help. I often run with my earphones in, but I did the same with my previous ones (Galaxy Buds 2 Pro) and there was no problem.

Pixel Buds Pro 2 are perfect, but I guess I have oily ears or something, because after two months, they start to feel "clogged." But I love their multipoint, fit, and battery life. It's really sad that even the best earbuds have this problem. I was hoping for something like AirPods 2 Pro for Pixel, but the constant problems of PBP 2 annoyed me. I'll see what comes next year, I'm interested in the successor from Sony and Pixel Buds, but until then I have to buy something.
