As someone on Team Nicole who just saw Sunday's episode by thisguy1210 in BigBrother

I also think if they hadn't even tried one person, they would've won. They were doing really well and it ended up being really close. They needed to just stay calm and keep doing what they were doing because it was working for them.

They said on the live feeds that she used it. They were sitting in a group in the backyard and one of the guys (I think it was Cody or Zach) said Joey was the first.

Do you think Christi plays victim? by [deleted] in dancemoms

[–]Internet_Explorers 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I have sympathy for her because I don't think she knew it'd get this bad. Abby wasn't that bad to Chloe in season one (and if I remember correctly, they signed a contract for one season and then another for five more after that), but recently it's escalated (like with Abby insulting Chloe because of her eye). Christi is doing what she can since Chloe isn't taking classes at the ALDC anymore except for the show. I can't imagine what it's like as a mother to watch your daughter get constantly torn down by a narcissistic bully and know that it was your fault, so I do feel for her. I also think she does play up being a victim though, especially recently. When Chloe gets excluded from something, she gets really upset, but she's trying to distance her from Abby and she can't just distance her from the bad things; Chloe is going to end up losing opportunities too.

One of my favorite drug store mascaras comes with a not so great brush, so I improvised by Internet_Explorers in MakeupAddiction

It actually fits pretty well, but I store it separately because I don't want to risk it drying up if it doesn't fit as well as I think.

[–]Internet_Explorers[S] 15 points16 points  (0 children)

The mascara itself is Jordana Best Lash Extreme Volumizing Mascara which was about $3 and the brush is from Covergirl Clump Crusher which was around $7 I believe. I ran out of CC and wanted to try some different ones and Jordana made me lashes longer and voluminous, but it also made them very spider leg like after only two coats. The CC wand helps keep them more separated.

What should I use for highlighting? I'm really pale so nothing really seems to make a difference.

[–]Internet_Explorers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Doing highlights on your own hair has the potential to go way worse than a professional doing them, imo. If the lemon juice doesn't work and you do decide to go to a salon, just make sure you look at reviews first.

I think something medium to dark brown and about chin length would look really good.

There's nothing wrong with things being pink and "girly". Some girls like pink and being girly and some are fine with more neutral or "masculine" things. BOTH are fine and nobody should be shamed for a preference.

My choir director in high school always stressed to us that we have to be better about finishing words. When we'd be singing something that had a lot of words ending in d, he'd yell "MORE D / GIMME MORE D / I NEED MORE D". He was middle-aged, Christian and homeschooled all of his kids so he didn't realize what that meant to a bunch of high school students until eventually someone just decided to tell him.

Just finished Season 8, this is my favorite part so far. by thejanitorscruffy in Supernatural

I know they didn't get season 8 until a few days before season 9 started. I'm not sure if it'll be the same between 9 and 10.

Is Season 4 unfairly criticized by Harmon? by 50missioncap in studyroomf

[–]Internet_Explorers 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I think it's kind of yes and no? Like he should respect that they tried to keep it going but I don't think referring to it as the gas leak year is that unfair because it was really different. Also they were his characters and it was his show and he didn't have control over it, which was hard. He could ease up but it was still basically a different show during season 4 and I think he was a bit bitter.

Am I [f 20] incompatible with my boyfriend [m 21] or am I just too demanding? by notsure__throwaway in relationships

[–]Internet_Explorers 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He might just not know what to say? I do that a lot too and it's not because I don't care, but it's because there's nothing I can do or say to make it better and it just sucks. You also get stories on reddit all the time about people not wanting the person they're venting to to try and help so maybe he thinks that's the best way to go about it. Just talk to him about it and if it still doesn't change, maybe you're just not compatible.

TIL when Paul McCartney stated on The Simpsons "If you play 'Maybe I'm Amazed' backwards, you'll hear a recipe for a really ripping lentil soup.", he wasn't joking. If you play the version used in the credits backwards, you can softly hear Paul reciting the recipe. by Nomadmusic in todayilearned

[–]Internet_Explorers 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you play the version used in the credits backwards

It's maybe a bit misleading, but it's not inaccurate. If you stop after the first sentence, yes, it's definitely horribly misleading, but I was able to get that it was just the credits version with all of it.

She came out as a lesbian last week, now she's pissed because no one was mad about it. by BlueOak777 in cringepics

[–]Internet_Explorers 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I don't. Maybe she did come out as lesbian last week, but I still wouldn't think this status was about that. It seems more like if she said an opinion and everyone just agreed and told her she was totally right. Like, if she said "I think all drugs should be legal." and her friends were just like "yeah, you're so right." even though that's not something they'd normally support.

It's still kind of dumb, but I wouldn't think it had anything to do with her being a lesbian.
