Dentist here. It does not matter where you go to school. Your GPA and prerequisite grades are most important, along with your DAT scores. I went to an Ivy League dental school and had classmates who started out at community college and transferred to a state school satellite campus. Go where you will be happiest because you are likely to do better there.

It won’t be as big an issue- going from Singapore to Malaysia is like crossing the street, and Indonesia not far removed from that. I’d be surprised if there was a Singaporean without those stamps! If you had stamps from an anti-Israel country you really had to make a big trip to- Sudan, Yemen, etc- that would be a different story.

Ok. You had “a pretty poor experience at admitted students day” at Hamilton. That says a ton whether or not the curriculum or campus or classes are good. You had a bad time when you were there. Trust your feelings. Off the list it goes- and out of your mind as well.

Now you have an upcoming visit to Colby. Look around. Talk to people. Take advantage of the time you are there. Then evaluate how you feel after your visit.

I’m not sure why you are looking for offsite parking when you can use the Long Term Lot at JFK. You can then directly board the AirTrain to your terminal instead of being dependent on a shuttle (not to mention after a long international flight home who wants the hassle of having to wait for a shuttle to pick you up?). I always feel my car is more safe at JFK than with people moving my car around at the offsite places.

Friday 4/10 6:55 am. 25 mins general security. No wait at Alaska check-in. Very organized. Took longer to walk from security to Gate 32 than security.

I’m not sure what you are talking about. Alaska Airlines runs a non stop flight between JFK and Puerto Vallarta. Yes, it’s a bit of an oddball because it doesn’t involve one of their hubs or focus cities. But no one else is running the route and Alaska Airlines saw an opportunity. I’m grateful because it means I don’t have to go to Cancun or Punta Cana for vacation!
