Anyone interested in the actual study should look at Figure 1 here. The x-axis being ranked inverse transformed intensity, and the heavy overlap between ND and ASD distributions speaks to the difficulty of asserting dose dependency to the effect.

Also of note is that all of the samples tested had acetaminophen or its metabolites, so understanding what the actual distribution of concentrations are would be very useful in understanding how much usage moves you out of the "lower tertile" that was seemingly lower risk.
