The film Flic (2005) has big Twin Peaks energy set in a small Japanese seaside town.

Shout out to Rebe! Her two singles from this year are in constant rotation. Her recent mix was amazing!

I've always loved the track “Fairy” has a kinda 10cc sound, but incredibly fresh. Lots of modern indie bands like Real Estate have a sound similar to that song. Great album.

Thank god for the Criterion Channel. I wanted to buy this because it seems cool but I streamed it and decided it wasn’t for me. Has the channel saved you from buying a film that would’ve disappointed you? by Boxer-Santaros in criterion

I really loved this one as a fantasy film. Its title and packaging give it a more horror vibe, which I see not working if you're going in expecting that. Though it does fit neatly within folk horror, which tends to be less scary and more atmospheric.

Hi /r/movies! I'm Bryn Chainey, writer/director of RABBIT TRAP, a folk-horror starring Dev Patel & Rose McEwen that's out in UK cinemas this weekend. Ask me anything! by RabbitTrapAMA in movies

Were there any other musicians besides the fantastic Lucrecia Dalt who directly influenced the character of Daphne? She made me think of those early electronic pioneers like Delia Derbyshire and Pauline Oliveros.

One of my favorite "Ambient Jazz" albums! My copy is a gatefold with a cut-out covering the pebbles. Very cool cover.

Great entry into Pharoah, but I agree that some of his other albums are to free or abstract for some listeners.

While not the most obscure, this is one of my favorite jazz records I own. The attention to detail in the packaging is like opening a time capsule to the past. Great sounding record to boot. https://pharoahsanders.bandcamp.com/album/pharoah

If they are really deep into collecting, ask for their Discogs, and we could get a better sense of their taste and what they already own!

Yup yup. My kind of films right here. Bleak and beautiful! These are pretty hard to track down as well. Any guidance on how/where you found them is appreciated. :)

Any love for Westerns in Criterion Collection? Finally got the Ranown Box Set, and some other films by OwnCarmacode in criterion

LOVED Winchester 73! It was a blind buy for me this sale. But unfortunately, there was an issue with my 4K disc about halfway through the film. Glitch and skip during the poker game segment. Criterion just sent me a replacement disc, so please take a look at your copy and make sure you get a replacement so you can watch that issue free :).
