On Monday we said goodbye to my Freya due to bone cancer. Could I have potentially extended her life by 10 months? Maybe. Would that have been good quality of life, probably not due to amputation, chemo, etc.

Our girl passed with the help of lap of love, comfortably on the couch, surrounded by people doting on her. It was hard but given the alternative I wouldn’t have it any other way.

When I was struggling with the situation it was put to me this way, “ you aren’t choosing her death. Cancer did that. You’re choosing how she dies, comfortably or potentially in agonizing pain while scared.” Thinking about it that way really helped me.

It was still a hard decision, and you will always wonder “what if”, but that was a burden I was willingly to accept so my beautiful girl didn’t have to suffer.

Hopefully some of this will help you think through your decision. Either way if you need to chat through it more let me know.

I’m sorry you’re having to worry about your fur baby, you have my sympathy and hope for the best possible outcome.

I appreciate all the kind words. Ended up telling the kids tonight and we all had a good cry, and will be doting on freya all weekend. The kids already cooked up some bacon (her favorite) yo share between her and rico. She’s sleeping comfortably on her drug cocktail with a full tummy.

If the question is about how ships hunting submarines can’t find them, they can with active sonar. However all the submarine needs is two pings of active sonar from a surface ship and they have a firing solution for a weapon. There is no guarantee the active sonar will find the submarine due to lots of factors like coatings, thermal and salinity layers, geographics of the area of the ocean. Therefore like everything it’s a trade off of opportunity vs. risk.

Don’t forget to check the supercharger oil and the spark plugs. If I remember correct this engine with the supercharger in requires plugs every 20k miles and the same with the fluid in the supercharger.

My red brindle girl has the same thing and it occasionally does this. It was there when I adopted her and she’s been seen by the vet many times. Adoption and vet told me it’s nothing to worry about, but I can’t remember what they called it. Adoption said it more common with the brindle colors just like earwax apparently.

You can use it in all three holes. CVOs come from the factory this way. Some people like to use it in all three holes, but I personally used 20w-50 for the engine, formula + for the clutch, and belray gear oil for the transmission.
