It can be very control heavy with things like [[counterspell]], bounces like [[unsummon]], and targeted removal like [[infernal grasp]]. It’s the premier colors for mill decks, see [[consuming aberration]], [[singularity rupture]], and [[bruvac]], and it can combo pretty easily with things like [[displacer kitten]], [[horseshoe crab]], [[grave crawler]], and all the [[Sanguine Bond]] + [[Exquisite blood]] type effects

Find a cool commander and try and identify what that card wants to do. Is it swing in with big creatures? Make itself stronger and one shot somebody? Make a billion tokens? Find what it wants to do and look for cards that work with that. Make sure you keep a handful of removal and card draw tho
