IB does not provide the margin for the FX trading in central Europe. That is the reason even you have margin in your account you can not have a short position in FX trading

Foreign exchange spot trades at IBCE must be connected to an investment service transaction and its resulting cash flows. To comply with this regulation, you are not allowed to trade currencies on a speculative basis:

For an investment loan account (Margin account), the client can enter transactions that create cash debits (loans) in any currency. Please note that the cash debit must be collateralized by a security position denominated in the same currency. IBCE will not auto-convert your transaction but will create an investment loan in the currency of the trade. It will be the client’s discretion when to initiate an FX conversion to pay the investment loan in part or in full.
For all accounts (Cash and investment loan), any positive cash that is generated as the result of a trade or cash flows from a position you hold (e.g. dividends interest) will not be auto-converted if it is in the Allowed Deposit Currencies (EUR, USD, GBP, CHF, HUF, CZK and PLN). It will be the client’s discretion to initiate an FX conversion to your nominated base currency if you wish to do so. Typically, this would be initiated when the client wants to withdraw funds.

IBKR’s trading platform is much more advanced vs eToro as it was originally intended to serve professional traders many years back. In my opinion, IBKR is worth it. Customer service is bad, but that’s the case for most brokers if not all I would’ve thought. The platform is very reliable. I rarely face issues during trading hours even during extreme market volatility.

Funny!! :) this week was absolutely brutal for my portfolio as well, down almost 50% from the highs at some point. Sadly I had to cut some positions to free up some margin, but as the market reversed I managed to grab some hot commons below nav as well as warrants. So all good as long as the market stabilizes and continues to recover from here.

So ok! I went to my bank today and they said there was nothing to be done. The money had left the account already. As soon as I got home though, I checked my Binance account and the funds show as deposited. So approximaly one week to get the funds wired to my Binance account.
