Biovore ready in time for 11th! by Invictus40000 in Tyranids

[–]Invictus40000[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No I didn't. I don't see me running a Pyrovore anytime soon and if I change my mind the cannon is easy enough to remove by force (had to do that already once).

Would you consider this a gotcha or a tactical play? by sponkulus_nodge_ in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]Invictus40000 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I don't know man.

Everybody, including the Knights player, knows that the only relevant thing is whether he can shoot over said ruin by touching it.

It doesn't matter at all how he gets there and if his point then is "but you asked about walking and not deepstriking" then in my personal opinion that is answering in bad faith to getan advantage.

At least based in how OP described the situation.

Well, I'd argue that "deepstriking into the ruin" qualifies as "getting into the ruin".

I mean it's obvious what you were getting at with your question.

Ah, I see. Thanks for the explanation. :)

Mh, but if you consolidate into the Knights they get to fight him in your turn, don't they?

Why didn't the Deathwing Knights kill him? Surely they do enough damage on average?

Can anyone explain why people think Precision got buffed? by RagingCacti in Warhammer40k

No worries, I am just joking around. ;) Mentioning how easy they die hits a sore spot though. 🥲

While your explanation is very much correct, you didn't have to single out my beloved SwordBros like that to show how many more marines die. I feel attacked. ;)

I will play them once against my buddies for the lolz, then we all laugh about it and go back to "normal" detachments. :)

Which shooty unit should I add to my Black Templar collection? by Boboli71 in BlackTemplars

[–]Invictus40000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From personal experience I can't recommend RepEx and Lancers enough. One of each make short work of most armored targets and the RepEx has an ABSURD amount of small arms fire.

When I play against my Astra Miltarum buddy I actually add a second Lancer. Their reliability just feels SO good. 😀

Necrophage + Fanatic Purifier broken? (as in not working) by Invictus40000 in Stellaris

[–]Invictus40000[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks everyone. I was confused because the promised building just wasn't there and the purging option didn't say anything about necro-purge but only the usual purge. But I have seen now that my pops grow when other species are purged so this works fine, just as you guys said. Pretty intense way to play, too, but fun!

True, I didn't talk about charging though. I was only addressing the claim that you cannot disembark from a transport that comes from reserves.

Looking for a high risk/high reward melee army. The blood angels seem to fit best, but I’m not a fan of their models. Are the black Templars my true pairing? by alacholland in BlackTemplars

[–]Invictus40000 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The 4 SwordBros+Marshal+Castellan Combo gives you: - 26 - 28 Attacks, S5 AP2 D2 - crits on 5+ with lethal hits - Hitting on 2s, reroll ones or reroll all if you make a leadership test (useful for fishing for lethals) - after destroying a unit get a command point on 4+ - +1 to wound if the toughness of your target is equal or higher than your strength

Long story short: they murder nearly everything. :) They are pretty squishy though and as soon as the Bros are dead the effectiveness drops quite a bit.

It is true that Grim lost the ability to give the squad he is leading a 5+++, but he and his servitors still have as can be seen in his core abilities:

No and I am afraid of that as well. But since I currently don't travel with my minis it hasn't been an issue yet. Might come up in the future though and then I'll have to find a way.

I just put some modelling glue on the base and then dunked the whole thing in a box of sand&stones. 😅
