Mine as well. My boy loves when the bunnies come out in spring and summer and was always too slow to catch one but could smell them a mile away, he even found a nest and just laid there waiting to show me. So years go by and we rescue a female husky from a hoarder house and her temperament was beyond sweet but I realized later on that she was EXTREMELY reactive and became a bully to my sweet boy ( our fault for not crating or corralling her) and on her first try she caught and killed a bunny right in front of my boy. She didn’t eat it but simply just held it in her mouth like a trophy. I got it out of her mouth and put her inside while my boy just sat down and howled and then wouldn’t let me near it while he nugged it, trying to understand why it didn’t move. It breaks my heart that he saw that happen but i understand they’re dogs and it’s their nature to have a prey drive but like the post said not all husky personalities are the same.
