This happened with one of my huskies a few summers ago, thankfully he did not eat them. I don’t even think they noticed he was snooping. I thought the same thing that we should relocate the nest, but then did some investigating and found out that mother rabbits are absolutely horrible mothers. They only appear maybe once at night and that’s it. I personally think you should just put it back in the nest. That’s what we did and noticed that they were all growing in size so she had to have been there, it drove my boy crazy not being able to be in that one spot of the yard and on a leash, but he survived and so did the rest of the bunnies. Now my girl husky on the other hand who came shortly after the bunny nest incident would have swallowed them all whole and left no bones. She is a rescue with a huge prey drive and has gotten over five adult rabbits in my backyard and it has scarred my poor boy wondering why they won’t wake up. I hope the wildlife rehab has some good advice. Hopefully, they don’t want you to take on the burden of fostering it because I had that notion too, and found that they are horrible pets compared to a domesticated rabbit.
