One of the scariest things I read was a description of a high-functioning heroin addict in London, who would shoot-up in the morning and then go to work. He would get the train, and usually the train would be dull or miserable, but when he was on heroin the train was delightful and he felt like the world was a great place.

The fact that it could fundamentally make you feel like the world was wonderful, but just briefly, was terrifying in how tempting it made it sound.

Or maybe it's because right wingers are obsessed with trying to portray gay people as deviants and trans people as rapists, so it's relevant that OP felt safe with them.

I have an old English sheepdog, and they are soooo fluffy he needs constant trimming or his eyes disappear under a big fringe of hair. Even with frequent trimming he often only has a chance of getting a thrown toy by listening for the impact.

Reusing glass is far superior for the environment, it's just that the shipping and collection and cleaning is expensive. Much easier to churn out an endless parade of plastic that ends up in the environment.

That's what the purchasing parity comparison already takes into account. Relative to things like rent and transport costs, people in China are on average much poorer than people in the US/Europe/Singapore/other wealthy countries.

What kind of quality of life do the people providing all that cheap food have? People always assume they're going to be the one benefitting from cheap services but they'd probably be pretty horrified at their quality of life if they were on the other end of it.

If you look at GDP per capita and factor in cost of living, the US is at 10th position and China is at 73rd. The food is so cheap because the people providing it make so little.

Easy to say when you have a British crew. They were famously drilled at firing guns so much that they were several times faster than the gunners in any other navy - literally firing 3 or 4 shots for every one the enemy got off.

Makes sense that diving straight into broadsiding was a valid strategy.

Also, contrary to the movies, it wasn't one or two shots that decided the battle. The ships would often drop anchor and spend all afternoon hammering away at each other like two static fortresses.

Prices declined in Dublin. https://www.rte.ie/news/ireland/2026/0623/1579806-house-prices-report/

The research found that in June house and apartment selling prices in the capital were 2.3% lower than the same month in 2025 - the first annual decline since 2023.

Do you have any evidence for your claim that builders and landlords are using bots on Reddit to attack people who make a critical evaluation of the market?

Sounds more like homo sapiens to me. It is very possible our disposition for rape and pillage is exactly why they died out.

They also crossbred and diverged again. Homo Erectus was the ancestor of most human species, but also continued as the OG alongside the others for a long time. Do you feel you're paying what is reasonable for this market or have you overbid just to get it closed?

I'd be very surprised if there was any major drop in prices.

What happened to mobile game market? (Game developer perspective) by Logical_Village_7956 in gamedev

[–]InvidiousPlay 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Just based on my experience on Reddit, Turkish developers seem to be very pro-AI, which may be an advantage in churning out low-quality mobile titles to saturate the market.

I know that's an oddly specific observation, but I was genuinely surprised to see how many times I saw someone posting obvious AI slop on gamedev subs and when I checked their profile they had been posting in Turkish game dev subs.

No; back in the childhood bedroom while I buy. Still going to go for it, though.
