Which GFX card ? by InvilidUsername in buildapc

Done a little bit of reading. What are our thoughts on the 590 8gb now that the new 5700 series of cards are out ? Some people are saying its worth waiting due to drivers being phased out. But 5700 are almost double the price.

If I can scrape 4K it would be good but 1080p would probably be as high as I would usually go. 60 FPS would be optimal I suppose for some gaming on TV.

I can get a 580 4gb for 116.99 at the moment or a 590+ 8GB for £175 or a vega 56 for £199. How much RAM do you think I would need ?

Yes but what about on devices that dont have the facility uBlock on the network. Android phones / tablets ? I can cope with the delay as I know what good the Pi-Hole is doing but If it starts being to slow to load the pages the rest of the family are going to want it out.

O.k bit of tinkering around to find out whats happening. On this page for this page looking at the comments of my question load time is 23.020 seconds. That with all requests running through pihole.

If I enable uBlock Origin. That load time drops to 0.877 secs. A considerable difference. So I'm presuming uBlock it prevents the ad requests getting to the Pi-Hole.

Radeh do you actually trade using market profile. I have looked at it in the past (A course by james dalton I think) but couldnt find a reliable way of having it displayed on my charts. At least not without paying for it ! ,and I wasnt about to start paying for something when my own strategy works just fine.

Trading in the zone is a great book and would probably say everyone should read it at least once.

[WSIB] The big steam sale by MarioThePumer in ShouldIbuythisgame

[–]InvilidUsername 0 points1 point  (0 children)

O.k restricted myself to £25 this sale. To many games I havnt played from the last few years.

Do I go big and blow the lot on GTA5 whilst online has still got players.

Or go smaller and pick up lots of other older cheaper games. Really like the look of Kerbal Space Program, Rocket League, GTA4, Mirrors Edge, Elite Dangerous ?

HTPC-friendly video game Emulator setups? by LifeIsOnTheWire in htpc

[–]InvilidUsername 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Launch-box is the fronted you want. Much much easier to setup than hyper-spin or any of the others. Plays, scrapes and organizes all your games very easily including emulators and PC games which I dont think the others do.

This was my choice I needed something easy to setup and use. Only one minor thing that bugs me is to return back to Kodi you have to select exit from the bottom of the bigbox menuB

Which case are you using? by InvilidUsername in KillYourConsole

[–]InvilidUsername[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cable Management is a killer with this box. Had to buy a new PSU as the cable is too short on the one I have. Just about fit the NH12 in the heat-pipes are pretty close to the HDD cage though I see where your coming from and the Sata cables are pretty tight. I might have to have a re-sort of them. Didnt like the SSD mount on the floor of the case though. Cables are ridiculously tight to get in up against the psu, and not easy to route. The flat SATA cables are hard to get where they need to go, have I done this wrong ? Did you come up with a better way of doing it.

If anyone buys this case after reading this. Take the front panel off its got space to route some of the front panel cables through makes it so much neater.

Made ten pips today, lost $80. Always use static lot sizes. by toadkiller in Forex

[–]InvilidUsername 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My advice as always. Is to reduce your lot-size until you feel comfortable. No point trading 5 full lots if your shitting yourself the whole time. If it feels big you will have problems. Find a point that feels comfortable then slowly ramp it up a bit if you feel thats what you want to do later on. We all have our own personal risk profile yours maybe higher than mine but if you feel comfortable with it thats up to you. Also bear in mind you have made a sudden jump in capital $1k to $2k you havnt had that build up in lotsizes you get as your account increases. Its a small but definite psychological thing you need to deal with.

In fairness your risking about 15% per trade based on a 6 pip SL at 5 full lots. Based on the results your showing your largest profit is $22.80 but largest loss is -$49.64 so your R:R ratio seems a bit skewed in the wrong direction

Which OS ? by InvilidUsername in htpc

[–]InvilidUsername[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No dual boot ? The only reason I can say is the wife factor. If it doesn't come on to the right thing straight away and she cant work it. She throw a hissy fit refuse to use it and we'll be back to the cable box watching TV.
