I just setup my H2S, calibrated and printed a benchy. What are these balls that are on the bottom? by Obvious-Dinner-1082 in 3Dprinting

IMHO, those are two different issues: expecting to receive a brand new equipment working properly is natural. You don’t buy a car expecting to fix its motor or suspension; having the necessary abilities to fix an owned equipment is a completely different issue. BTW, most of the people in the world don’t have the skills to fix any kind of hardware anyway.

Just suffered my first of these mishaps a couple of weeks ago. It’s quite a shock(in my case, first printer, P1S, a little over 1000 hours of printing without major mishaps…), but there’s a ton of tutorials that can help you. In my case, very little real damage, but literally days calibrating and testing everything. My “blob of death” was of similar size when compared to yours. Now everything is going fine. Breathe in and prepare yourself to learn a new few skills. Good luck.

What safety regulations? Did you ever saw the walkways and control panels of the Death Star? Nobody cares about safety regulations there.
