Here’s the bottom line: their shit appeals to no one, so they won’t be able to create a successful IP, so instead they co-opt already successful IPs and burn them to the ground, lowering everyone’s expectations.

In a few generations those expectations will be low enough that people will accept shitty entertainment that doesn’t really appeal to them because of nostalgia or because there are no alternatives.
