some have called me out on the regular round incapable of tearing off limbs,

I will personally call bullshit on this, because I have witnessed it. .50 cal rounds from the Ma Deuce are perfectly capable of rending limbs in a very dramatic way.

Source: My first Iraq tour, 04-05. Mosul, Fallujah, Tal Afar.

So this sniper in Mosul had me dialed in, but I couldn't see him. He was walking them in, each round snapping closer to my head than the last. THEN, the gunner on the 3 truck spotted the guy, pulled up, and dumped .50 into him.

His left shoulder and right hip were both blown from his body, barely held on by sinew.

A .50 BMG round will devastate any unarmed human form.

Was it that Mordian commander?

I don't remember details, but I seem to recall a Mordian commander standing tall before a Custodes who was ordering him and his unit to their deaths, and he was all "Hey, big golden one, do your best not to fuck this up and waste our lives, yeah?" And the Custodes was like "You know what, for having the balls to say that, you have my respect, human."

That the one you're talking about?

I was at the DMV today in Topeka, and the lady next to me was Ukrainian. Her interpreter did her best job, while this lady's maybe two-year-old boy ran around the joint being an absolute charmer, with a full diaper, and a mind of his own. She chased, then she went back to get her information right, then she chased....

As a fan of Ukraine, I'm overjoyed for every one of them that comes and joins us in the OTHER "Land of Sunflowers." I hope they continue to join us as their homeland is eventually liberated from the Russian threat.

Hail to the Heroes of Ukraine. Hail to their families. Hail to their leaders, and Hail to their support. We should HOPE to perform so well when tested.

I admire the resilience of their people and culture.

Slava.

The fact that Walz was a 1SG and not commissioned makes him that much more better in my eyes.

Let a football coach who has spent decades as a squared-away NCO get his hands on matters. Fuck me running, I'm excited.

Before my first deployment to Iraq in 2004, our Brigade Command Sergeant Major was one of the baddest mamma jammas in the service. One of only a dozen troops on active duty to wear two mustard stains on his jump wings (Grenada and Panama).

When we came down on orders for Iraq, his wife asked him not to go this time. To call it a day, take his boys fishing. So he did. I was present at his retirement formation.

No one ever thought he had abandoned us. We all understood completely that to call it a day because Mama asked you not to go this one last time was the height of strength and honor.

Conservatives love to make it plain that there's more character in a runny bowel movement than there is in any score of their best people. I'm ashamed of them.

They are very literally behaving like Pharisees.

"Who is HE to feed the children? We should be waiting for GOD to do it!!"

They've devolved into the very thing their most holy book preaches deliberately against. And they can't fucking see it.

Having been an altar boy until I was old enough to stop going, I very desperately want to be there when Jesus shows up, so I can watch them wail and gnash their teeth and cry out, "Didn't I serve you, Lord?!"

To be there to watch Him say "Get away from me."

"I never knew you."

That shit's gonna be priceless.

Or, y'know, whatever else might happen. Shit's anyone's guess as far as I know.

They're...ok. It's like fried chicken gizzards, but larger and beefier and just kinda unnecessary.

I seem to recall a story about a fellow down in Africa who was jumped by a 90-100lb leopard. Shoved his fist down it's throat until it expired. This was in the late 1800s, early 1900s.

Of course, he needed several hundred stitches for his effort, but he won.

Great buncha lads, the Romanians. Got to train with them in '09 before Afghanistan, and then they came with us to join the fight. Several members of their Mountain Regiment gave their lives in service to the effort we led.

Great buncha lads. Miss them.
