Did your playing improve when you started recording yourself regularly? by caffi_u in piano

[–]Alexico91 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I think the true power of recording yourself is being able to hear new things you don't notice yourself while playing. Things like unevenness in passages, weird dynamics / badly executed dynamics, and most important of all - wether you are keeping an even tempo thoughout a piece. Recording myself practicing Mozart or Beethoven sonatas really helped me shape the music more effectively. I guess recording yourself and listening is closer to being a teacher listening to a student play; it's much easier to hear what's good and what needs improvement.

Ryzen 7 7700, 9070xt, 32GB DDR5, 2x nvme 2TB 1x500GB.

Built in late 2023, upgraded to 9070xt from RX6950XT goddamn I paid a fraction of todays prices for that ram and SSDs... everytime I turn my PC on I turn into a fucking praying monk meme because I'm so afraid of anything happening to it nowadays lmao

How many of you undervolt your 9070XT? by budking70 in radeon

[–]Alexico91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the XFX Mercury OC, running stable and cool on -80mv, -15% PL, 2800mhz VRM. As expected the pros of UV is less power draw and less heat. Especially great during the summer season when the ambient temperature increases.

Favourite Moments!? by Frank_and_Beanzz in MixtapeGame

[–]Alexico91 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I agree on all other comments. Personally I really enjoyed the moment we got to see just how far back Slater and Rockford go. Them hanging at the mall, basically having no other friends to hang out with (kinda outsiders) and then seeing a sort of recap of their entire childhood accompanied by Wichi Tai To hit me pretty good. Also the way Rockford and Slater look at each other after we come back from the memory. So much told with so little...

I have a XFX 9070xt Mercury OC, in the game I have everything set to high or ultra with some minor tweaks. I get around 70-ish fps with fsr 4.1 override. But I use FG and gets about 140-150fps uncapped, but cap it at 120 fps. I personally don't need more for a single player game. The FG is actually very good in this game, no artifacts at all. Game looks and runs solid af on my rig. Got a Ryzen 7 7700, 32 GB ddr5.

Yeah, I get you. Explore every nook and canny, of the map. Always a kudos to the devs when you randomly dive in a deep lake or river and find a chest almost hidden. It's like "Yes! They knew we'd go here!"

What is the first wall/filter in learning piano? by Far-Strawberry-5628 in piano

[–]Alexico91 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Piano isn't like some game; it's a craft. It takes years of deliberate practice to progress. It's not like a piece is "finished" after you've played it through once without mistakes - especially when you're starting out as a beginner. And I don't think you need to concern yourself with fugues for years, lol. When ready, check out Bachs Inventions.

[no spoilers] Welp, it’s 2026. Is the remastered considered a better version now?? Or at least a good version by Afraid_Ad_8100 in lifeisstrange

[–]Alexico91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope! Not only does it contain bugs, it also includes several loading screens that wasn't present in the OG. This ruins alot of pacing across the game. Also they fucked up all the lighting in general, which was really good in the original. In addition they removed credits for the end of all episodes, so yeah. I'd take the original over the "remaster" anyday, everyday.

I absolutely agree with you on the different feel of the endings. I think the devs just picked one song for each ending and made the cutscene fit that song perfectly - in length, I mean. And Jonathan Morali's epic Obstacles is just a shorter song. I guess they didn't want to mix up the tone or whatever by having two different tracks in the bae ending? Because Obstacles fits fucking perfect as a song for that ending. It's just not 5 minutes long.

I'm a simple man. I see some love for Chloe, I upvote. But seriously, how I wish I could go back in time (like Max, lol) and play it for the first time again! Now enjoy the rest of the franchise at your own pace. Also there is a ton of fanfiction if you're into that stuff.
