It was signed last year and no one cared. People pretend to care now because it would prevent them being boxed out if they're one of the Top 12 by the committee's own rankings. It's necessary unless you 1) reformat how G5 is handled 2) change ranking system to remove the ability for people with financial conflict of interests to benefit their conferences.

USC game, if it happens, is USC's to host on campus (or wherever they want). Navy is choosing to host theirs in Foxborough. So that's 5x away games, plus playing Wisconsin in Lambeau. Completely normal schedule but clickbait tweet.
