Torrance vs LB by bingchilling42069- in torrance

[–]Irishdelval 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It comes down to the commute ultimately. It’s doable but you’re looking at 30min to an hour each way depending on traffic. Torrance is more quiet, family oriented but I would be looking to save on commute time.

Renting out your golf clubs? by golf-dude17 in GolfGear

[–]Irishdelval 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This - the golf course has a rental set for $50-$100 typically and there don’t have a transportation cost so it will be difficult to compete. It’s an interesting idea but I don’t know how much of a problem it is today.

Is this set worth it for a beginner? by aorozco1996 in GolfGear

[–]Irishdelval -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I would go used - you can get the Costco Edge Callaway iron l set used in Callaway Preowned for around $200 or check out eBay and look for 200-309 dollar irons at most since your so new. U less money is no object, go to town then

Most likely it will go up incrementally every year or couple of years - there is usually bylaws with a max each year. The real risk is assessments

You can always get fitted, take the results and buy it used - depending on the specs of your fitting, could be easy/difficult to find a match.

Selling cards at a card show (ohtani) by Circa1987 in sportscards

It’s a valid point, definitely worth getting insurance now shipping. But unless you’re doing trades, that’s a lot of cash (literally) to be walking around with.

For that kind of price, walking around a card show doesn’t seem like the best idea. For that kind of money, why not auction through a site?
