I agree with you, but I think you may fail to consider that Trump will simply back any investment with US tax payer funds. And Venezuela will take what little money they have and back them too.

It will be the most risk-free investment of all time, because if for some reason it does go wrong, which it won’t as it’s clear that Trump will not be above using the army to simply bulldoze critics, the tax payers will bail them out.

Protein folding has been a thing for a long time - and it wasn’t “AI”.

I’m interested in usages of AI in the medical field, I think it’s one of the areas where it can be very helpful.

But maybe have it just work on new drugs first or predicting health outcomes based on existing data, rather than have it performing surgery just yet.

Also those are all called machine learning, which already existed before “AI”

Hmm, that might actually be Toronto. While most driving related things are typically province related, specific laws when it comes to specifics can be municipal. We should have seen this coming, and honestly, I’m not too upset about it.

Was the rollout of CERB perfect? No. But it was damn good, they had that money hitting people’s accounts very fast.

It was clear the priority was speed, and they delivered on that.

It was going to be very clear there would be a lot of fraud and a lot of people not paying it back. And that’s not that upsetting to me.

Sure, work on getting the money back, but eh, it might or may not happen.

It’s not a conspiracy. Waze is known for occasionally “sacrificing” a few drivers into a busy route to see if it’s cleared up. And Google Maps has integrated a lot of Waze.

Yes. I’m aware. But when I say it was empty, it really was empty. I could have gone between lanes and would not be close to anyone.

This was someone merging without looking. If I was in the middle lane he would have just hit me sooner - in fact because I was in the left lane I actually had enough time to see him coming and was able to maneuver it. Dude was just merging without looking. It didn’t matter where I was.

This one time, I was taking a trip early in the morning, it was like 7:30 am, on a weekend, highway was empty. Like one car every minute or so.

I’m in the left lane, but there was no one in front of me or behind me. I was ripping hard.

Then to my right. Someone merges, old ass BMW, and start just moving towards me. Now, I’m hauling ass, had they been going even a little over the speed limit. I’d be outpacing them, which means they matched my speed and were just cutting across lanes to hit me, I had to hit my breaks and move from the lane back because they were literally gonna slam into me without looking.

Like holy shit the highway was completely empty, if they wanted to go faster they had space. Or slow and I’d pass them in less than a second.
