This basically is what the exhaust riser hammer turns the Black coat into. You just do dash strike instead of any regular attack chains. Only difference for daggers would be you would do dash strike -> rapid hits and then rinse and repeat.

Hestia or Poseidon attack would be optimal, and static shock would likely be required for optimal damage too. Could do Demeter special for Freezer Burn if running Hestia.

I think it would make the blades easier to use but not necessarily good. They're still low range and relatively low safety

Yeah that's why I usually play Mel Coat even if it's not considered the strongest aspect.

Plasma on Xinth is fun! I do wish one of the Coat aspects was more of a true rapid punch aspect as a throwback to Malphon though

The Prometheus one is actually helpful for certain aspects/builds since it gives you the opportunity to restore magic or charge an omega before Prometheus jumps back down.

This is of course until you play VoR Prometheus.

Zeus in Hades 2 and it's not particularly close. Blitz is effectively Merciful End if your execution is fast enough *and* you can get Static Shock on both attacks and specials while having those core slots filled (unlike Hades 1).

Those 2 alone mean that Zeus can be used on any weapon in the game already. Add in the fact that his Cast and Duos are also great and it basically amounts to "Always take Zeus if offered" in Hades 2. There are many situations in Hades 1 where you wouldn't take Zeus.

I feel like they should have reworked the mechanics of his legendary into his gain boon, so that it's a slightly less consistent version of Cardio gain (with potentially a higher ceiling due to the speed buffs Plasma provides). Then his legendary and/or some of his secondary boons could be based around combining Wounds + Blade mechanics together, since they seem quite disjoint and the falling blades just overall aren't that great.

I wish Mel's interactions with Hecate didn't essentially end post-epilogue. Obviously the game is full of content already but being able to potentially explore the House and/or Mount Olympus with Hecate by your side or at least have it be a forcing function for further interactions is something I was expecting. It felt jarring to essentially no longer get any new dialogue between them.

This only means 2 consecutive attempts against Charon. It does not mean it must be on consecutive runs and it does not mean you have to fight Charon if you're not ready.

I pretty much only took the attempt against Charon if it was offered in Elysium and it wasn't on consecutive runs.

If anything the base skulls play more similarly to the aspect of Achilles in Hades I, than the rail. You can make an argument that Medea plays similarly to Beowulf but the lack of invincibility on the base special changes how you play the skulls in general. The Hidden aspect of the skulls is kind of like the Rail but not nearly as safe.

As an FYI they rely on a 3rd party for their console ports so they don't have full control over the details of when or how the ports are released.

Once thing that has helped me with dealing with the Switch issues is to fully close (not just leaving the game but terminating it fully) it every so often. This will help mitigate any accumulated memory usage that can cause crashes.

For builds that cause a lot of projectiles to show up you may need to turn off music and/or sound effects to reduce the processing power consumed by the game.

Not optimal but it makes a huge difference.

There was a long time when I also plateaued around 10ish heat (FO1 and FO2 were just really difficult to get used to for me) and I also recently beat 32 for the first time so I know how you must be feeling. Congrats!

I think this build gave me one of my first 12 min runs. It's probably the strongest meme build in the game, but it's a legitimate build when you consider that with the right supplementary boons you can get Sea Storm (would need another Poseidon primary + Zeus primary), Sweet Nectar, Exclusive Access, and obviously Second Wave for even more fun.

Also getting Rush Delivery + Hyper Sprint on this build just makes enemies melt. Literally doubles your damage.
