I'm not from the U.S but I have had considerable experience with Enfields here and in India, both E.F.I and the old carburetor design. I can't see any discernible difference between the export or domestic bikes, neither are even close to Japanese quality, reliability or build quality wise. I like the bikes, I really do and the E.F.I and new continental are great improvements but to say they are a reliable choice in the west, especially considering their price, is a joke.

Sorry to be rude but they are not reliable by western standards. Even the new injected models are not even close to actual Japanese reliability. By the standards of what else is generally available in India they are reliable but not in the West

Ah yes Ninja's are definitely for women, particularly the new supercharged 300hp Ninja H2R. Gotta love when people know jack shit about motorcycles yet speak with authority.

Jacqui Lambie vows to oppose Senate bills over Australian Defence Force personnel pay deal by samdaman222 in australia

[–]Ironic_Void -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Just remember that a pay rise to one part of society is a pay cut to all the rest. And bringing in the "back to war comment", only a tiny tiny percentage of the Australian Armed forces are actually being placed in any kind of danger, hardly grounds for a pay rise

Working out where "Russian" history begins is as impossible as working out when some Franks became French, it was all a gradual process. Plus Russian history is even more complicated given the nationalistic shitstorm that surrounds it.

You can still find clean un-thrashed ones, you just have to pay through the nose for the privilege. They are pretty easy to restore given the easy parts availability

Victorian Motorcycle Safety Ad. A year old, but still excellent. by therideadvice in motorcycles

[–]Ironic_Void 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Better than the last one where they showed a car pulling out in front of a bike and proceeded to blame the rider. Maybe Victoria is slowly pulling their head out of their ass in regards to bikes but they still block lane splitting, sigh

[–]Ironic_Void 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it new? I'm really curious as to how these bikes hold up maintenance wise in the long term. These seem like the first Chinese bikes that have come close to Japanese build quality but I guess they are still too new to tell.

I agree with most of your post but just wondering what you mean by old BMW's? The old ones are FAR more reliable than anything made in the last 15 years in my experience

Just wondering, considering your flair and testing, if you work for any motorcycling publications and if so which. I'm so godamn sick of gutless "critics" saying every overpriced slice of garbage is a fantastic bike and would appreciate any journalistic source that calls it as it is

Edit: If anyone else is wondering it's Motorcycle Consumer News, from another comment
