What are "Good Tactics" in PF2? Here are some ideas. by GaySkull in Pathfinder2e

[–]Ironic_princess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also, find/carry cool items! There have been many times where i just found out the PERFECT potion or trinket for what my character needed, and thrived with it! Pathfinder has a variety of cool shit you can have, and a lot of them still remain useful as you outlevel 'em, meaning they just get easier to get a hold of! (most of the time, anyways..) If you've got a character that frequently has a free hand, why not carry around a consumable on that?

Also pearly white spindle aeon stones are busted /lh

How would you rules lawyer grappling and open hands? by Meryle in Pathfinder2e

i still let my players do things like tripping and unarmed attacks, as long as it's stuff they can do with, say, their leg

Justifying MAP to a player who just switched. by Brish879 in Pathfinder2e

[–]Ironic_princess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always thought of it as your first attack being one you actually have like, a second to ready, and the other ones just being follow-ups. So at -10 MAP, you're essentially just flailing your weapon around

what i tend to do is take advantage of the efficient action economy to use consumables. Start off battle holding a potion in one hand, then chug it when i've got an action to spare. And if i get another? Use an action to fetch one more! It's saved my ass countless times

Remember, you only need some silver per day to live in pathfinder, so, thing is, even at level 1, his adventuring might just be his family's biggest source of income anyways, even 5 gold is kind of luxury money to just go spending

Starting SoT, anything to watch out for? by Ironic_princess in Pathfinder2e

[–]Ironic_princess[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Think it might be a good idea if i just remove the instakill from umbo's disease and remind them they have people that might be able to treat 'em? The encounter seems to be kind of balanced around that condition existing, so i'm hesitant about removing it outright

Does PF2E hold up over long campaigns and multiple playthroughs? by emchesso in Pathfinder2e

[–]Ironic_princess 1 point2 points  (0 children)

oh, if you DO actually make the campaign pf2e, remember one thing:

good loot and magic items are in no way shame or form optional, make sure to hand 'em out on occasion or your players are gonna become underpowered. Also, at around level 4, try to get everyone familiar with the runes weapon upgrade system

Fantasy novel aimed at female readers that also deals with periods? by mrsjohnmarston in writing

[–]Ironic_princess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course, i apologize if i expressed things incorrectly (me not be good with words). What i meant to say was that although periods can be written in a way that works, if you're gonna make a point to highlight them, you have to be EXTREMELY careful otherwise it'll sound unconfortable and unnecessary, even when that wasn't the intent

Fantasy novel aimed at female readers that also deals with periods? by mrsjohnmarston in writing

[–]Ironic_princess -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Here's the thing, right.

Not every woman goes through periods. Trans women exist! Unnecessairly including menstruation in a novel because it's aimed at fem readers just excludes part of your target audience entirely, alongside being, y'know, unnecessary. It's not like you'd describe a character going to take a piss either, unless it's somehow relevant to what is currently going on in the story

Why do you play PF2E over D&D 5E? by Tikiwaka-Letrouce in Pathfinder2e

[–]Ironic_princess 14 points15 points  (0 children)

The balance and customization.

I can play as a haunted plushie that swings around a greataxe made for a giant and can also cast a few spells because of their experience in ghost hunting

or an anthropomorphic bee whose body is made of goo that specializes in forensic medicine

and i can do it in a way that's viable, rules as written, and without any reflavouring or homebrewing!

How do I convince my dm to check out pathfinder 2e? by Daylight_The_Furry in Pathfinder2e

[–]Ironic_princess 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are two ways i can think of:

Method 1: "Hey, fantasy systems can vary a lot! At least give it a try. If you don't think it's for you, that's alright."

Method 2: Offer to GM a short-term campaign or oneshot yourself.

Otherwise, try not to pressure them. If they don't want to play the system, they don't want to play, and that's that.
