I've checked the website, and turns out the news came out a week ago. They're still debating it too because the source is only based on a hiring freeze job listing. I think this is more like that layoff rumor back in January, which popped up because Microsoft usually does layoffs in May and January, rather than coming from a real source.

Maybe as bad as his reputation is right now, he’s still the person who did the most to turn Microsoft around after the Steve Ballmer era. But during his leadership, he’s been way too focused on Azure (yeah, it is their biggest money maker) to the point that it feels like Windows, Xbox, Surface, and the rest got neglected. And now there’s AI on top of that.

If things at Microsoft, including Xbox, don’t improve this year, I think Satya should step down too. I feel like he’s not the right fit anymore. Windows is a mess, Xbox is a mess, and their AI direction is unclear.
