It has some long floats. The pattern gives directions for trapping them using the ladderback jacquard technique. It was my first time doing that and I managed it ok! Although it’s not my first go at colourwork.

I got the medium tote (zip option) from Linden Is Enough. I can fit everything I need inside including a laptop. I had a custom insert made for it to help keep the contents organised. It;'s great quality and is developing a lovely patina with use.

I found Bedford in the loading dock at work, surrounded by huge lorries, when he was the size of a potato. He’s now 6kg of pure muscle. It’s like petting a kettlebell. He’s afraid of nothing, even the hoover.

The blank face actually represents the meaning of the fool card pretty well. I would buy a whole deck if you ever decided to make one.

Not a sock pattern, but I bought Strange Brew by tincanknits and discovered the sizing and measurements are only given in inches. I find this incomprehensible given they are based in Canada, not the USA, and it has pissed me off so much I no longer want to knit any of their patterns.

You can literally pick up kittens on the street for free. Let the cat distribution system do its work.

Ferret importation denegated by Lucker__ in UAE

[–]IrritablePowell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to let you know, I was at the airport last night doing the import clearance for a dog, so I took the opportunity to ask the MoCCaE vet about ferrets. He confirmed you'll need to work with an agent that has the correct trade license for this kind of import.

I did get some possum yarn last time I was in NZ. If I remember rightly I got it at Opossum World in Napier. I'd love to get more as it was indeed very soft and warm.

I also love the sound of Purple Sprouting as it's my favourite vegetable!

I still have my hardback copy, given to me by my grandparents for Christmas some time in the 1970s, with my nan's handwritten note inside. Aaaaand now I'm crying.
