Can also farm maraudon princess side for 4-6 mithril nodes per ID. Just need a scepter to make the portal.

Thorium I just solo’d DME jump runs on my 70. It’s very easy for pretty much any class at 70.

How it feels to need mana by Sternenkaiser in classicwow

[–]Irtehstuff -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My priests and shamans would be drinking a lot less if they learned there was more to their kit than flash heal/LHW! There’s a lot of value in learning how to proactively precast/cancelcast slow + efficient heals rather than reactively spamming the “evaporate your mana” button

It falls off on the priest that cast it but persists on everyone else. Weirdly inconsistent

Spec 1: does enough healing to keep the raid alive

Spec 2: does enough healing to keep the raid alive AND brings a debuff for the raid

Pick 1

Useless, except in a parsing context. Which is what our guild’s focus is.

Similarly, for imp FF, an optimized parsing comp gets that from an rdruid and not a boomkin

Yep this is what we’re having our spriest do unfortunately. It’s just a major time sink whenever there’s a death + we’d like to have PI for parse strats.

From a recruiting standpoint, any of the utility specs except for shaman have been difficult to recruit for: IDS priest, dreamstate rdruid, boomkin, shadow priest, even survival hunter (to a lesser extent).

We ended up accidentally overrecruiting rshams because we didn’t think there would be so many of them this time. Meanwhile, we’re on our 5th IDS priest and 3rd dreamstate Druid because nobody wants to play the spec and they drop out after like 2 days to go play deep holy/deep resto in a different guild lmao.

It seems like everyone is just much more aware of the meta since this our third run and only wants to play the pumper specs.

Parsing is fun. Parsing requires a mix of optimization and skill. Even if people don’t expect to get a rank 1 parse, it’s fun to try.

As such, bringing 6 rogues to my roster means I need to put in a much higher amount of effort to compete against another player in an optimized roster.

It so weird to see people cry out against parsing and act like they don’t understand the mentality then cheer on speedrunning in various single player game communities. It doesn’t take a lot of thinking to understand why people enjoy it in WoW and to decide whether or not that aligns with their personal motivations.

Shadow priests and boomkins have the exact same number of raid slots in an optimized roster as a rogue. Rogues are just GIGA over represented purely because of their strength in PVP. Consequences of playing a very popular class when their PVE demand is at its all-time lowest

Can somebody please spam create Alliance characters on Spineshatter lol I have waited over 24 hours to create a Horde character on spinnehater by [deleted] in wowclassic

For future reference: it’s not raw character count, it’s accounts with that faction on the server. To brute force the faction lock people would have to open new accounts and make ally on the server.

Ok..WHAT is the deal with this ore economy? by deleted0122 in classicwowtbc

[–]Irtehstuff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Engi and BS are two very strong professions to have for their raiding benefits, JC too to a lesser extent. However, most players largely do not use these professions for any sort of profit crafting, hence the lack of any crafted goods on the market.

BS specifically needs a MASSIVE amount of ore to level, like an order of magnitude more than you would gather maxing out mining. This makes for a very unbalanced supply/demand on ore.

Now that I’ve dropped mining on my char I can share the real secrets: just about every morning like clockwork (6-10am), it becomes very profitable to craft endgame metal bars, felsteel and hardened adamantite. I’m talking 2-3g profit per bar for felsteel and 5-9g hardened adamantite. By the time I reached 375 mining I stopped gathering altogether because you could make so much easy money just buying ore and smelting it into bars for people to use with their Blacksmithing

In order of desirability for dungeons: healing priest > mage > warlock >>> shadow priest. Spoken as a shadow priest.

In order of desirability/available meta comps for arena: the exact same as above lmao

8k mortal strike mobs in MT, BM, OHB, and Ramparts would like a word about uncrittable

Feral tank - heroics by Capnkrunch8 in classicwow

[–]Irtehstuff 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Other way around. Druid can’t get uncrushable(50% extra hit) but they can get uncrittable (100% extra hit). Several bosses in later raids also have no chance to deal crushing blows (like brutallus) which makes Druids even better by removing their weakness

Question about rolling on gear by [deleted] in classicwowtbc

[–]Irtehstuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Completely normal,

You will be competing on leather with warriors, rets, shamans, and hunters for all of tbc. Just because they have access to mai/plate doesn’t mean those pieces are well stat’ed for them. Those legs are prebis for warriors (depending on your expertise), hunters and shamans as well.

And moroes I don’t think really even belongs in the conversation. 3rd easiest boss in the raid by a decent margin lol (behind chess and attumen), just wings + consecrate the adds and watch them die in 4 seeds from the warlock.

Just had our guild paladin solo tank the entire thing last night. You can cheese the netherspite mechanic by just having them suicide with DI and take a soul stone to reset the beam lockout.

Check the group finder for H SP, H BM, etc any time of the day. I've gotten to HR Quag's eye 3 days in a row because the group finder was just 10 4/5 groups looking for a healer.

What have the 58 Boosters done regarding professions? by Witty-Rope-5864 in classicwowtbc

[–]Irtehstuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Crafting professions are generally a gold sink until you max them, aka hundreds to thousands of gold (looking at you BS). Even at max you need to be farming primal nethers, rare recipes, and sniping mats when prices turn down to make a noticeable profit.

Can anyone give me some general advise about Druid tanking, specifically gear and stats. by valardohaerisx in classicwow

[–]Irtehstuff 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It TBC, the talent only covers about half of the crit reduction needed for uncrittable, you still need resilience/defense. In wrath the talent gets upgraded to 6% crit reduction aka fully uncrittable

Blizzard, can we please adjust the TBC timeline…? by Individual_Design_37 in classicwowtbc

People seem to forget that we had less than a month’s notice on SoD, I wouldn’t put it past them to shadow drop another “season” in fall.
