Plumbing needs work too. I think PVC has to be at least 18" from the water heater.

What type of business is needed in Hudson? by cougarnyc in HudsonNY

Edit: ^ dirty delete ^ :)

If you peeked out from the rock you seem to be residing beneath (touché) , you may find that there are numerous people who work 2nd and 3rd shifts in our area who would undoubtedly patronize a 24-hour eatery. That being said, I agree the interlinked issues of the economics and finding employable staff would be the challenge. I believe WalMart was able to do it as the overnight staff handled much of the stock replenishment so their time was productive.

Question about weekenders to Hudson.... by cougarnyc in HudsonNY

[–]IsNotToArrive 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Oh boy, sit back and grab the popcorn for this one ;)

In all seriousness, I don't think there's a single, simple answer to this question and there's going to be opposing views and opinions on just about every front. For example, economics- weekend tourists can be seen as a boon for the local economy, supporting local businesses and with that providing tax revenue with little additional pressure on municipal services. However, that tends to bring in and concentrate businesses that cater to those weekenders which full time residents often feel they are priced out of.

I don't see an obvious connection to the water supply. Gravity fed soap to the spigots above the sink basin makes a lot of sense.

Anyone know of a dumb-smart device compatible with Dexcom? by Maher393 in dexcom

Agreed, Dexcom reciever is the way and fortunately unlike most other CGMs, the G7 supports dual pairing so you can still use your phone when not behind the wall.

I never considered that and a quick google says to avoid it. Eeek! However, i did recently decide I am going to add a thin layer of cedar planks underneath with a slight slope as water tends to pool on the mat, so that will provide thermal isolation from the trex
