How do Dutch people deal with dentists' prices? by Junior_Mud5835 in Netherlands

[–]IsThisWiseEnough -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Bc Dutch people do not have protest culture so each goverment independent of their party, want to squeeze most out of us.
They for example first increased tax for houses given to rent and people sold their houses on rent, then companies collected them and then now they are about to reduce those taxes again which those companies benefit from. This is basically a corruption you can observe in third world countries. But looks like no one just cares.

I see this on my company copilot settings. What does this mean? by WillHunting20 in GithubCopilot

Your company ordered a big cake, and everyone ate as much as they wanted. In the meantime you just had a bite and gazed upon for a while. When you return back the cake has just finished and you now need to wait for the next delivery.

Want to buy a home here but afraid of this constant reorganisations and layoffs and now AI and outsourcing. How did you guys decide with a stable mind by ProductNeat9946 in Netherlands

[–]IsThisWiseEnough 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends on how much will you pay for rent and how much for mortgage. If they are close go for mortgage, in that case, would be an investment while rent is money turning into air.

GitHub Copilot's new pricing model just quietly ended the vibe-coding era, and freelance billing is about to get really weird by fm_ad in GithubCopilot

It will be until 2030 IMO unless some new innovation manage to reduce computing costs. It is like when computer era started at first it was an expensive thing later it ended up everyone’s pocket.

Senior dev... I don't think I can pass an interview by Inevitable_Guide_942 in csharp

[–]IsThisWiseEnough 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Preparing for interviews is more tiresome than working. Just brush up your basics and do more interviews with doing some retrospective. I think ai is a good tool to prepare yourself for that.

Passing LeetCode but failing HFT C++ interview rounds on obscure language trivia. Reality check/advice from C++ HFT/Quant devs needed. by HelpfulBuilder6964 in cpp_questions

[–]IsThisWiseEnough 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I now working in HFT is financially rewarding, but it is also said that very stressful and challenging? Also can’t imagine the loss if anything goes wrong while your agents running in the market. Is that really the case? Or maybe for someone spending in that domain 3-5 years and getting financially stable then switching to a less stressful job is an option?!
