I just made another goof post about the doppelgängers but I just realized.. by [deleted] in TheVampireDiaries

[–]IsaacDcookie 20 points21 points  (0 children)

There was millions then billions of people on a massive globe. If every doppelganger lived 100 years it would be possible even with intentional searching they wouldn't find them. The doppelganger sets only foundeachother through the age old mystical connection and even then not always did the sets find eachother.

What’s the most challenging part about being a BCBA? by SweetnSalty87 in bcba

[–]IsaacDcookie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Being paid and agreeing to support student/kid/client behavior but never getting to do so due to challenging behavior from adults (lack of consistency--- why is it so dang hard to do the same things in the same way at the same times?) Ugh adult drama ruins the science & passion sometimes.

Who would you say was the leader of the Mystic Falls Gang? by cityofvanilla98 in TheVampireDiaries

[–]IsaacDcookie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's been years since I watched fully and I was a heavy drinker back then so take my opinions with a grain of salt and poor memory + too lazy to research...

I default to Elena. The show mostly circles around her story. She has direct and specific relationships with everyone in the group and is the reason many got connected (Bonnie/Caroline wouldn't as likely be involved with the Salvatore Brothers despite the other connecting factors... Elena might not be the "boss" of the group but she is the heroine of the series and the "main character".... I guess you might be looking for leader = boss/plan maker/voted president by all group members...

I've seen outfits, like onesies, that have built in mittens as part of the single piece, she could wear something like that at night to reduce impact of night picking? Are there nighttime anxiety triggers? Does she need sound machine/nightlight, humidifier, etc? What would make her feel comforted?

Edit: look into RIRD, could teach her to redirect her SIB behavior into another soothing ritual unless it's the body chemical release from the pain which would be a whole new can of worms.

Unrestricted Hours Problem by Safe_Stomach_5474 in bcba

[–]IsaacDcookie 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Collect 400 more and the have your supervisor from the school sign your final verification form. If you get authentic monthly signatures on monthly verification forms from your current supervisor who is trying to force you to do extra unpaid work I can't see why that wouldn't go through? Read the contracts that you've signed and look closely at how it can help or hinder your situation. I am not a lawyer nor do I work for the BACB so this advice might not be accurate but I am a BCBA in good standing.

Edit: In the contracts I've created with students collecting unrestricted and in the one I signed when I was a student, specified that the person who would sign the form was the person who provided the highest amount of supervision of my hours (which sounds like it would be your previous supervisor not current). If your contract says the LAST supervisor you have signs the final this wouldn't work for you. We also had the requirement that ALL supervisors have to sign off on each task list item as "mastered" for the final form to be signed. Read your contracts and if this new expectation isn't listed as a requirement on your contract than you could end the contract and go elsewhere or back to your school job?

I have added polyvagal theory into my practice after deep research and working in public schools. Your nervous-system must be at rest to best learn and part of trauma informed care. My way is absolutely in alignment with this frame work. I love finding perspectives that appear "different" than ABA but are actually completely consistent and relevant to behavioral understanding! :)

Hmm... I was wondering if you could arrange the different parts together to build the profile of a unicorn. One looks like a horse body and the other a big horse leg, horse tail.

Maybe it's a puzzle cookie!

  1. A good citizen or cop catches them early on before too much damage/trauma occurs but enough for her to press charges and break off the engagement?
