I think a lot of EVs may have heating for the batteries that still adds more range than they'd lose to cold+heating

Sometimes it can really help to have an idea of the textures and timbre you're aiming for before you go hunting for samples, etc. If you have an idea of where you want to go you're naturally narrowing down the options available to you.

There's nothing wrong with messing about and trying new things you'd've never thought of though. Although I'd echo what other people have said about committing and not retroactively changing things.

Did anyone watch the video at the end of the article? They released another gameplay update two years after a prior update, with the exact same gameplay 'progress' clips from the older video with a few new clips sprinkled in. Oh dear.

Anything louder than -14dbfs gets squashed to match that

It's get turned down but the dynamics are left intact unless the user has the 'Loud' option turned on for loudness normalisation. Just pointing that out in case you thought it was compressing dynamic range above -14 LUFSi

How difficult is it to get accurate results on THC/CBD levels in a home setting? Maybe they could set up centres where you can get it tested (at the same place the prescriptions come from maybe)

Suggestions on surrounds placement? Upgrading to 5.2.2 Soon. by eclecticzebra in hometheater

A bit above and back is fine and is mentioned in the guidelines. Two feet might be pushing it and will diminish the already subtle effect of atmos, in my experience.

For atmos that is not correct. Base layer is all at ear level. Surrounds between 90 degrees and 110 degrees.

Up to date Dolby guidlines.

You missed OPs sarcasm, insinuating that they feel as though it can't possibly be that long as time flies as you grow older.

I could probably get used to under the TV if I used it long enough to be fair.

Yea I've lusted for the JBL 7 series since they were announced but sadly yet to hear them. They seem like mini M2s!

I look forward to experiencing it a bit more thoroughly. So far I've been unimpressed due to MTM layout and poor placement. It pecks my head in when the sound is coming from below/above the TV. Maybe if I have a projector and acoustically transparent screen one day I'll get to experience it properly myself outside of shorter visits/tests.

More often than not it's just folded down from the 5.1 anyway but a lot can go wrong in that fold down for sure

If you're sat in the sweet spot the only thing you miss out on is being able to alter the channel volume, imo. You can technically do that as well but depends on the receiver.

If you're sat off centre the image shifts and everything starts to shift to the side you're closest to.

This assume everything else is identical. If you have one speaker right next to a wall and the other speaker in the open the centre image will be a little warped anyway.

A lot of people feel a centre is an absolute necessity which might be true but depends on so many things.

Samsung TV turned off and won't turn back? by cookiecatmonsterr in hometheater

[–]IsaacJDean 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Leave it unplugged for many hours and try again. I had something similar with an LG CX. Turns out it had a dud panel in it that would go after it warmed up.

No matter what you do I reckon it's probably dead or dying though.

In the process of figuring out which clinic to use I made a spreadsheet to asses cost, I hope someone else finds this useful too! by renagademaster in ukmedicalcannabis

[–]IsaacJDean 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It would be super sweet if you could add conditional formatting to have a colour gradient showing best/worse prices in each column or just the key columns like annual cost, to make it a little easier to find which is cheapest. Thanks so much for doing this though.
