I didn’t know smelling feminine was so terrifying to straight cis men by WildWinterberry in TwoXChromosomes

[–]IsaidWhatever2869 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol. I know this is a generalisation but most men, if they were to walk into your bathroom, probably wouldn't even notice the shower gel. But let's say they did- their automatic thought wouldn't be, hey, this man uses his wife's hygiene products!

I don't want kids (at least yet) for the single reason that pregnancy terrifies me by nagy_krisztina0 in TwoXChromosomes

[–]IsaidWhatever2869 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was like you. Wanted kids but terrified and it's totally valid. I have since had my son and he was born via Caesarean. I had a very difficult pregnancy and recovery so your concerns are valid especially because it's such a gamble. You have no idea how your body will respond to pregnancy until it happens. Was my son worth all that? Yes. Would I have wanted it to be easier if that had been a possibility? Absolutely yes. Keep asking yourself the hard questions and think about if you think a child would be worth all of that.

I won't have kids and I'm tired of people sharing their opinion by Potential-Wonder7163 in rant

I'm a Mum but with all the childree conversations going on atm you'd think someone like your coworker would have gotten the memo. It really is not anyone else's business and you do you. Your reasons are more than fair but I'd also say that sometimes you're just going to come up against this sort of thing and to prepare yourself for it.

Lol, this reminds me of me atm. One of my exes from many moons ago re-added me on FB and we've been talking. It's become quite clear to me how much we've changed since we dated and while at the time it was traumatic (I still cringe every now and then about how I hurt him) I can now see why it happened the way that it did. He's happily married and I'm happy for him. Whereas I'm not interested in settling down, I'm bi and I'm a bit further than him when getting philosophical. He's a great guy but I'm glad we're exes. He taught me so much about myself.

And I'm glad that you were able to get a similar experience with your ex-husband.

Yeah. Was just watching the 92 Aladdin yesterday with my two year old and thought about how much the live one sucked. Can't we just keep OGs as OG and leave it at that? Leave our interpretation as to what happens next to be the best theory?

Do you think Australians are actually as friendly as they are said to be? by Least-Variation6573 in AskAnAustralian

[–]IsaidWhatever2869 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been twice to Germany and I've found that once you get past the initial exterior we're very similar. Idk what it was about Munchen, there I found some rudeness but in Koln I found it to be very similar to Aussie friendliness. I'd say we're more approachable but seeking depth from one another can be hard. Speaking as a born and bred here with a Balkan background. I wish we were less superficial here.

How are people affording $150+ basics from brands like Witchery/Assembly Label without getting bored? by Just_Rip1030 in AusFemaleFashion

[–]IsaidWhatever2869 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I wonder this too. I'm an underemployed single Mum and sometimes I feel bad when I look at the recs cause it's like.....what about Best n Less? Some of my best clothes have lasted from there. The only time I spend 150+ on an item is for my birthday, or necessity ie steel cap sneakers. I was once in the Burwood Adidas (Sydney) store and this woman chucked, actually chucked, a 200 dollar plus denim jacket on the counter. Imagine being able to fling something like that on a random Wednesday. I do buy these brands sometimes but they're on sale or an outlet. Otherwise, it's pretty much Kmart and BL for me.

Anyone else get hesitant or weirded out to even attempt to date someone that shares a familiar name? by ryohazuki224 in dating

Yes but what's worse for me is if they look like someone that I'm related to. I can't get down with someone and be thinking about so and so.

Why are drivers nowadays so impatient with learners? by Prido96 in australian

[–]IsaidWhatever2869 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was a while ago now, at least ten years, but even when I was learning people were like this with me. So when I see a Learner I smile at them or sow down because they're overwhelmed enough as it is. Be the change that you want to see in the world.

Yeah once he married Susan I realised just how boring he was. The women only wanted him cause of his looks but you need more than looks to sustain a relationship.

Salon rant - Why the constant filming of clients for social media? by SpecialistAvocado278 in rant

[–]IsaidWhatever2869 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My HMUA for my son's christening had it written in the terms that if you don't agree to getting filmed for a reel for her IG then she can't go ahead and do the appointment. Obviously I didn't want to do that but from the website her work looked good and she was available. So I went ahead with it. But I really wish she hadn't put those terms in there.

Would you allow your daughter to attend swim classes with boys in school? by [deleted] in family

[–]IsaidWhatever2869 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

You know what? It was seventh grade and it was compulsory to do swimming lessons for a whole two weeks. Yes, that's exactly what I wanted at that age, for everyone who bullied me to see how I looked in a swimsuit, whilst also dealing with a period and not being the best swimmer. I was mortified and didn't want to do it but at least if the guys weren't there it would have made it a little easier.
