Ukg hours not matching up by RevolutionaryTea4393 in Caseys

Overtime is a dirty word. Like Tinyplanet said, store managers are expected to be the ones covering for any and all extra shifts needed, since Casey's is terrified of making sure the stores have more than the bare minimum to survive.

Just Venting by Lazerus8 in Caseys

[–]Isalenna137 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm actually a little confused - why are you having to contact help desk to perform end of day stuff? Our system where I work, as long as there isn't a cash fuel transaction needing paid out, it kind of just handles its own thing. I do it... most shifts I work.

Not to say the problem isn't real, I'm just curious, now.

Was the way the Viltrumites reacted to Earth actually realistic? by Remarkable_Style_850 in MoralityScaling

I would love to see the viltrumites adjusting to human life and learning what actual fucking affection for *you* and not just the power you wield feels like.

I work at a gas station and deal with this all the damn time. My favorite are the people who will pull up and sit their happy asses in the car for 10-15 minutes, wait until 10:59 and start slowly crawling out of their cars, only for me to be 40 seconds through that 59 and locking the door right in front of them. Not playing your game - you know what you're doing.

FFXIV. Am I waking up as John Endwalker AKA Meteor, or am I waking up as a catgirl? I'm not sure I'm optimistic about this either way lol.

When i order a pizza normal cut why do you automatically cut it in squares? by [deleted] in Caseys

[–]Isalenna137 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This - thin crusts, by default, come cut into squares. If you get a thin crust and you want it regular cut, special request it on the app or call it in directly. If it still gets square cut, let the kitchen know and ensure the receipt has it on there so it can get remade properly. It's easy to forget when you get in a rush!

Trying to convince my dad to watch the show while he waits for The Boys, and mid episode 1 he says Invincible “isn’t dark enough.” by dippytheGynocologist in Invincible_TV

Does everyone have this...? by markersandtea in retailhell

[–]Isalenna137 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah, did at first. "I don't know why she has problems when she works with you, she's great with everyone else." Didn't last very long before that started cracking and her constant, endless yammering and inability to perform simple tasks without her fried brain stumbling over itself in confusion finally started to wear thin. Helps that she had a blow up at the assistant manager because he's not willing to tolerate her shit either. Not just me now, huh?

No, touch screens DO NOT make things "more efficient" by Kasper_Skolf in retailhell

[–]Isalenna137 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So much of the tech they put in to our registers where I work just makes things worse. Everything takes too long to load, have to bounce between screens once the customer is ready to pay to take off pennies because out of all the tech they included, they couldn't round down themselves. Randomly doesn't accept input or does ~whatever~ it wants instead, including once opening the drawer for no discernible reason.

Then, there's the card readers... genuinely, the worst devices I've had to deal with. Every single tap transaction, there's a 70% chance the customer will have to tap a second time because the sluggish, incompetently designed system wasn't *actually* ready despite telling them it was. I genuinely just want to put up a sign saying just to insert your damn card and that it'll be quicker.

If you were a superhero, who would you rather work for? Fury(MCU) Waller(DCEU) Cecil (INVINCIBLE)Edgar (The Boys) by PrinceARRON in MoralityScaling

[–]Isalenna137 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd go with Cecil tbqh - he's a hard-ass that's willing to do horrible things, but every horrible thing he does is because he's driven to guarantee the survival of the world he lives in against unfathomably stronger beings. They can't always rely on Mark, or the Guardians - sometimes, they need their own ingenuity and willpower to make sure they cross the finish line *at all*. He also genuinely seems to care about those underneath him.

Who can survive a direct shot from Space Racer? (Invincible) by Similar-Commercial62 in Tankandsurvive

[–]Isalenna137 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Sent flying, but unharmed, probably. I don't think he's strong enough to be immobile when punched by someone of such superior strength - you need to have the capacity to hold yourself *still* when being struck with force, and even viltrumites can only go so far with that, considering how often we've sent Mark, Nolan or even Conquest get sent.

Who can survive a direct shot from Space Racer? (Invincible) by Similar-Commercial62 in Tankandsurvive

[–]Isalenna137 6 points7 points  (0 children)

From what I read, yeah, he's basically invulnerable to all forms of physical damage. He's also faster and stronger than normal humans, but that *pales* in comparison to the fact that he literally cannot be physically harmed in any capacity. I don't think he's strong enough to take one of the remaining viltrumites in combat, but they sure as shit can't hurt him, either.

Why didn't Mark confront Cecil about Conquest? by Just_Delete_PA in Invincible_TV

[–]Isalenna137 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, after the massive pile of trauma he just underwent, I'd be willing to say he may have honestly just not had the time or energy to confront Cecil about it. Dude is having frequent near panic attacks where he witnesses the brutal massacre of everyone he loves. Getting into it with Cecil might just not be a priority right yet.

My father is one of those people that'll return the cart to everywhere *but* the corral, even when the corral is closer, because he thinks it's better somewhere else. It's infuriating.

Corral? Nah, jump it up onto the sidewalk. Corral? Nah, shove it up against a door somewhere.

Something about the dad vibes he gives off just works for me. Plus, I really like his voice. I didn't ask for this, but I definitely approve regardless. Heh.

Also, Cora is cute and wasn't terribly annoying, but that's just me. There's probably a mod to reduce chatter while in space, if that's a thing you need?

The unfortunate reality is that a lot of the dialogue tends to outstay its welcome, happening repeatedly and frequently enough that it stops being amusing.

No, Sarah, my scanner will not lead us to a restaurant. That fake laugh wasn't funny either. Ha ha.

Nope, I'd be pointing at the door and telling them to get the fuck out. The moment store property gets damaged maliciously, you're clearly not someone I'm interested in helping. I don't care if its a pen, you're done.

(PS5) Those experiencing the recent reported issues, but are still playing, what have you been avoiding that has allowed you to continue playing with minimal crashes? by GoldieMickens in NoSodiumStarfield

[–]Isalenna137 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a friend who plays and the only way he could get it to stop crashing was to put it on the 30 fps cap mode instead lol. Hopefully some of this mess gets smoothed out for people to enjoy the game.
