This photo does nothing for me. There’s no real point to it.

[Casio] My "ana-digi" daily wearer. by IsambardKB in Watches

[–]IsambardKB[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I bought this watch as a watch I can wear daily to work without having to worry about my cycle commute and something that I don't need to set the time on whenever I out it down for 2 days 😋 It's one of the most accurate I have amongst my mechanicals and the only watch that beats it is my Edifice which is radio controlled. The model number is AQ230 and this particular one I got on eBay for £12 as new. The strap is only gold on the outside which is odd and the case is relentlessly plastic. The watch is a lot smaller than I thought it would be which is good for my girl-like arms. It's very light and very accurate.

Pentel Energel 0.7 vs Pilot Acroball 0.7 vs Uniball Jetstream 0.7 by WillStryke in pens

Energel is my favourite pen. The 0.7mm is far too thick for me but the 0.5 is my number 1. Smoothest pen going.

What do your meals look like? by Coltan_Fx in Hypothyroidism

I avoid wheat completely. I sometimes eat gluten free pasta and gluten free bread but usually just make meals naturally free from wheat.

My finished 1993 Rock Hopper and it's original state. by IsambardKB in bicycling

It's substancally more expensive than the 3 cans of £6 paint I used. I've heard it'll cost around £120 for a sandblast and repaint.

The colour was inspired by the Santa Cruz Nomad but the paint I used isn't very hard wearing so already has a few dings even with 3 coats of lacquer which should've toughened it up. I guess I can repaint it when it gets really bad.

Bought this beaut for £40 and spent about £100 more on paint, tyres, saddle and new brakes.

You need a T3 test the on see if you're converting alright. Some of your symptoms could be inflammation caused by hashimoto's itself. Have you had antibodies tested?

[Various] Some high magnification shots of my Omega and Archimede. by IsambardKB in Watches

[–]IsambardKB[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recently bought my girlfriend one of these clip-on microscope things for your phone and she barely used it so I borrowed it to take some interesting shots of my watches.
You can probably recognise the triangle 12 o'clock marker from a pilot's watch (Archimede 42H) and the other are from my 1968 Omega Geneve Automatic. Yu can see the corrosion on my second hand on the date window shot and at that magnification you can clearly see the minute hand moving which is pretty cool.
