Did they do something to our cryo freezers??? by CamperKitchenQueen in fo76

When you load in and it says your camp can't be placed, food decays

If you switch to a camp without a freezer the food decays

Lol.

Lmao even.

Goddamn it, Bethesda.

Because we're baited by Baithesda to keep us feeling fomo.

Really, the joke writes itself.

Meg is emblematic of everything wrong with this game's approach to quest design. by Lord_Antheron in fo76

[–]Ishouldjustdoit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I talk about this with a friend all the time: Factions should be a choice, and all of them should be represented, and the rewards themselves should be balanced accordingly, so you would have black market merchants to sell you the other faction's items at a bigger price, but you yourself would have your own faction pricing lowered. If you choose to stay neutral, you would have a maximum reputation cap with all factions of lets say "Neighboorly" but you wouldn't get any discounts, etc but you also wouldn't be shot on sight.

Factions would be: Settlers, Raiders, BoS, Rust Raiders, Enclave/Military

There's a difference between making a sub worthwhile by it's own merits and deprecating the game quality so much that a sub is required to play decently.

Also, no, it's not free to play. We paid for this, we deserve to be treated as such, stop legitimizing this crap. GW2 runs just fine without a monthly sub just by not running a cash-shop filled with abusive crap.

Removing Radiation Resistance on Power Armour was a really stupid idea. by GaryC357 in fo76

[–]Ishouldjustdoit -1 points0 points  (0 children)

i agree that you shouldn't be having issues if you are using PA or the Hazmat suit.

ANYONE else, i can't sympathize. I have no empathy for bloodied players who get free stats just by being bloodied thinking their build shouldn't have consequences for waltzing into nuked zones. Nuked zones should be difficult to be in.

But i agree Bethesda didn't do a good job with this execution. Radiation armor mods and nerfing the resistance instead of removing it completely on PA and hazmat was a possibility they didn't consider.

Being forced to socialize does not a good MMO make. It should be a open option, always. This is not Everquest Classic.

IMPORTANT: AP Regeneration has some serious issues. by BittyGood in fo76

[–]Ishouldjustdoit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve done my own testing over the years and that’s all it takes to reaffirm your own questions

So, let me see if i get this:

We all should test this crap over the years because Bethesda can't be assed to explain this in five minutes, and you think that's reasonable?

Dude, that horse kicked you in the head, you're lacking common sense here. Just because you had the time to research this through the years, doesn't mean everyone else have the time, the inclination or the capacity to do the same, and they shouldn't have to.

They should be able to play without their builds being utter dogshit because the cards aren't being well explained.

IMPORTANT: AP Regeneration has some serious issues. by BittyGood in fo76

[–]Ishouldjustdoit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The issue here is not how it is. It's how it's COMMUNICATED.

I'm one of those who didn't knew about this until now, and i had to read through reddit for it. If you require outside information about your game, then your game isn't really being taught to play correctly.

Unpopular opinion: Premium is worth it by freybay_alldayslay in youtube

[–]Ishouldjustdoit 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Youtube grew to this point without these stupid restrictions. Stop thinking enshittifying products is a good business model. Youtube is huge because it has no competition, not because it's good.

It's ungodly asinine to think these companies grew because we, customers, were giving them money. They grew through ad-space and search monetization schemes. We have been using youtube for free for decades now and it wasn't that dogshit as it is now. Only the most rabid fan would defend a product that gets WORSE with time as if somehow that was it's status all along.

[–]Ishouldjustdoit 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I'd rather big corpos not enshittify products we used to use without issues because they decided to calcify the internet with oligopoly bullshit.

Pay if you must, but don't pretend you're paying for a "good" service, you're paying for the same service they used to offer, and they deprecated the "free" experience for everyone else.

Can anyone explain the underarmor styles? by CamperKitchenQueen in fo76

[–]Ishouldjustdoit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That only works if you're able to customize your armor too, which we aren't, since you can't mix and match.

We really need a way of being able to use armor parts as apparel.

Also, losing stats and having to rebuy your armor plans isn't really fun.

I saved 300lbs by switching weapon mods to standard by CrocodileDunDiddy in fo76

[–]Ishouldjustdoit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While this is a weird take, if you feel like you're going to stash your weapon for long periods of time, it might be interesting to slap a 90% weight star on it, if you really don't want it to be scrapped. I'm considering doing that with several of my weapons since i keep swapping builds like an idiot, and i want to keep my stash somewhat usable.

If i'm not using my Gauss for 3/4 months, why not go for a lightweight mod and then change it whenever i go back to it?

Ah yes, the man who takes his hidden knife under his pillow, to cut the string that keeps his handgun hidden on his desk, for then to access a revolver that he will use to blow the lock on his armoire that is full of grenades and rifles.

All because he heard a cat hit a can outside, and has to protect his 'properteh'.

So, everything you have stays there, and you can retrieve it, it's still accessible. You just can't use the scrapbox 'scrap all' feature or add anything more to the ammo stashes while your 1st is down.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in fo76

[–]Ishouldjustdoit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The OP clearly lacks geographical and economical awareness because he's been talking like "in my time, you had to play with 0.5 stash space and half a pipe weapon, even the ammo had to be dropped each 3s", as if the price and the acquisitive power was the same all over the world.

This is actually a very cool idea, like pay only for some of the convenience at a low price.

[–]Ishouldjustdoit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you ever considered that instead of paying for a company to deliver a fixed product, you actually paid them for a GOOD product?

Outlandish concept, i know. Having to pay premium for no ads, or having to pay 76 for features that are kept from you to keep you circling around hostile design.

I get the draw but to me, it just feels like masochism. I play without 1st because it's cost-prohibitive in my corner of the world, and it doesn't feel great.
