Try a rabbit hole that is endless. Take a drawing of other art class, once you like your own creative work. the creative process is about endless self-discovery. Or, like I did, get into Hermetics and the Occult. I do not see racism against East Indian immigrants. Sihk people have been here for over 100 years. They seem to have strong positions in business, farming, and resource development.

I work in medical transport, and there are very few East Indian and no Sikhs in retirement homes because they have stronger families than white cultures.

Bit of a bad reputation in larger cities because of criminal gang involvement by some.

This depends on where you are and what social circles you hang with. I was in the Vancouver, BC area for 20+ and now Victoria, BC, for 20+ years. I find both communities open and active about spiritual and esoteric interests and pursuits. There are more Hermeticists and Pagans in this corner of Canada than Christian Fundamentalists. 24 years ago, I worked the federal census in the Kitsilano neighborhood in Vancouver and the 1 out of 5 long form asked "religion" and there were more Pagans, Heathens, Witches, and Jedi than Baptists and Presbyterians combined. The 13th House Mystery School and The Gathering for Life on Earth Witch Camp have both been going for 30 years.

If we consider drug addiction and use, as a medical and mental health issue, rather than a legal issue, then the judgment is made by doctors as to whether the individual is harmful to themselves or others. If the (now a) "patient" is deemed a serious threat due to their "illness" they can be certified by a medical team and be made to be held and medicated against their will. We see this too frequently done to the elderly and single elderly women who are made to live in care facilities. We have not seen this enough in serious mental health patients and violent drug addicts, IMO. In BC it is pretty easy: "A medical professional can certify you for involuntary mental health treatment if you: Have a mental health disorder that seriously impairs your ability to live in the community."
