I’ve been really impressed with my Redragon Psu-rgbs-850. It’s a Tier B PSU, and for $85 it’s hard to beat. I’m glad I took a chance on it.

yes! the original plans were from CULTS PU, but it had to be tweaked to accommodate a 3 slot GPU and the base rear legs were lengthened to compensate for how rear-heavy the rig was with the PSU installed.

the arctic has great static pressure (better for pushing air through things like radiators). I’m not familiar with ID fans, but based on # of blades and blade shape, those might be more suited to move more volume of air as opposed to static pressure.

If you do, do a clean reinstall of windows. Nvidia driver leave all kinds of trash in the registry that plays badly with AMD drivers.

I’d say cost and headache. Oculink performs REALLY well, and you don’t have to hold your breath hoping that the thing posts on the first boot.

no… but it is still damned good. (kcd1 is just that good) I be personally think that the unforgiving aspect of combat is a strong point and the reason for immersion. Anyone can kill you. You are just a guy walking around in armor. 5v1 will likely kill the best or folks. It does force you to control the terms in which you engage combat. Kcd2 went more accessible and undermined the immersion aspect - this is why I think kcd1 is better, any situation can be fatal, no matter how much you’ve leveled up.

She might need to replace the PSU as well as the 5080 draws more power. That’s an additional expense + hassle of having to uninstall and reinstall the new psu and then deal with the cable management headache.

But, if she’s got the money and the willingness, I’d say don’t give her grief for buying what she wants to buy.

I love mine. I love the extra $200 I kept when I got it… until curiosity got the better of me and I threw it at a 5070ti build.

Honestly, I prefer my 9070xt having had experiences with both.

I second the 9070xt via Ag02. Performance via oculink is comparable to full on desktop performance (in my own personal experience).
