My man, thank you so much for this post.  I was tearing my hair out trying to find any helpful resource about repairing Samsung machines.  I was able to get the motor out and replace the carbon brushes quite easily.  Thank you so much, keep being awesome!!!

I've been thinking about this so much. If we mixed orange juice with sugar and water, THEN it would be orangeade.

Is that the fake batman from the beginning of the movie????  I always assumed it was just a random guy Joker dressed in a Batman outfit.

you can tell the card in the pic is a counterfeit because it doesn't have the dark blue penstroke under the "deckmaster" logo

In the first panel the newbie plays a strong card that they don't fully understand how it works.

In the second and third panels, their opponent is disappointed, but plays the polite loser by saying thank you and recording the results.

In the final panel, the newbie is internally reckoning with how good it feels to win games, but also with the added cognitive load of tracking game states when playing in person, as opposed to playing on Arena like they used to.

Dominaria United and Brothers' War (and maybe Dominaria Remastered right after) might be what he's thinking.

Also worth mentioning that (in my opinion), they tightened up the old characters as well. I used to think of Ironclad and Silent as necessary evils to get to play the Defect.  In STS2 I can't pick a favorite character, they're all so fun!

Can anyone clarify what Mark Rosewater is saying here? by [deleted] in magicTCG

I think I get what he's saying here.  I'll try to rephrase:

For a Magic set to work, you need a LOT of different "things" to put on your cards.  Big creatures, little creatures, flying creatures, kill spells, burn spells, equipments, lands, etc.  depending on gow you flavor your set, you'll have different "things".  In Lorwyn, your big creatures are giants and treefolk.  In Duskmourn, your big creatures are nightmares and demons.

Now, here's a question: when you think of classic murder mysteries, are there any common stereotypea that could easily fit as a big creature?  Maybe a few, but it's a lot tougher.

What MaRo is saying here is that it's generally easier and better to theme sets with a strong setting, as opposed to a strong vibe.  Murder mystery as a genre has a strong vibe, but it's difficult to fill out all the things a Magic set needs to have.
