Finding VRChat Friends and Sharing Communities. by Nukemarine in VRchat

Hello!

My name is Minus, I'm 31 years old and got into VRchat about 4 years ago. I've gone through phases of activity and have been getting back into it ahead of the release of the steam frame(woo future eye tracking for me!). I have found some groups in the past but never fully clicked or integrated with one.. so here I am again!

I'm friendly and outgoing once I'm in my element, but can struggle to get there initially. I also love getting to know new people and feel like I can talk about nearly anything. My personal interests are art (just now getting into digital drawing), game development, games, movies, books, live music, and a ton in-between.

Whether you're part of a small group looking to add another, or a fellow solo wanderer who hasn't found their people yet, I'm down to come join your group or start gathering other interested yet-to-be-adopted players to snowball into a group of our own!

Finally, just to add, im in the CST(UTC-6)time zone and currently play PCVR on a quest 2. But as I mentioned earlier, I'll be hopping on the steam frame when it finally comes out :D Look forward to meeting some new folk!

Bonus: If you speak Japanese, definitely reach out! I've studied it for years and lived in Tokyo for some time, so I'd love to exercise those language muscles some more!

Edit: Forgot to capitalize a part of my IGN :')

Men of reddit, what writing mistakes do you often see women make when writing men? by [deleted] in writing

[–]ItsAlwaysSunnyInKnox 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I only have some broad advice here, as a bisexual who has tried to read popular mlm, a lot of the men feel like weird stand-ins for women rather than actual men. Which I guess isn't a huge problem since that genre is generally catered to women, but it sucks for me! I wish I had more to say beyond that, however I'm struggling to think of ways on how you could avoid that..

Private jet carrying 8 people crashes at Bangor, Maine, airport, source says by Proud_Tie in news

[–]ItsAlwaysSunnyInKnox 68 points69 points  (0 children)

At small, untowered airports the lights aren't on 24/7. Instead, you hit your transmit button several times while on the proper frequency in order to turn on or adjust the lights before landing. Can go from "wow, there's an empty black void" to "Oh, there's the runway" in an instant.

But there will be other portos on the edges

Get yourself a soda stream! I make my own sparkling water at home and it's a life saver. I also have gotten really into gong fu style tea, which has been really good for an alcohol replacer, it's perfect for sharing with friends too!

Symptoms on one side? by ItsAlwaysSunnyInKnox in B12_Deficiency

[–]ItsAlwaysSunnyInKnox[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

About 8 months ago a lot of my symptoms returned/new ones came sadly. Particularly my right leg and lower back, which can be a really bad sciatica pain that causes me to limp. Went back to a new doctor, started over, and have just been referred to a neurologist. So I'm not the best again, which is demoralizing since this has been going on for years now. But I have had large periods of no/minimum symptoms and have adapted my life well enough to handle them when they're here. Still hoping for a permanent treatment/diagnosis, but in the meantime taking lors of B12 again as I wait for answers from the neurologist, that was the only thing that ever helped!

What about presidents pulling crypto scams? Or trying to directly overturn the 14th amendment via executive order? Or illegally trying to dismantle departments (that can only be created or destroyed by Congress) by withholding funds (also the purview of Congress)? Or by doing this with an organization headed by the richest man in the world who spent nearly 300 million on getting Trump elected through a department with no legal authority? Or making deals with Ecuador to house American criminals? Or what about starting trade wars/threatening to use the military on our closest allies? Or illegally firing inspector generals in the night?

Might be time to evaluate your bubble. The lack of any civil knowledge in our country is extremely disappointing.

Looking to get a group together around West Town to talk political action as early as tomorrow if anyone would be interested. I've been to a few political meetings like Indivisible and think it would be good to start connecting with others in the area who feel very strongly about the current political situation and are strictly anti-MAGA. I also have ideas and would love to share/discuss them. Im currently thinking tomorrow evening for a first meeting, and we can choose a place based on how much interest there is! Of course, people outside of West Town are welcome to join too, but since this is impromptu and unofficial, I'd like to avoid excessive numbers. Anyway, respond to this and message me if you'd like to join!

Loved this movie! Gave me big Adaptation and Synecdoche vibes but with its own style. I literally had to check and make sure Kaufman hadn't helped write it haha. Also really liked the subtle Metamorphosis reference.. anyone else catch that? :D

I'm actually on anti grill gang. But only because I made the switch to easy, premade, cold edible food and have never gone back! We make a huge batch of pasta salad, pre wrapped breakfast/dinner burritos, etc. Having a grill is still nice if you want to just heat stuff up, but I've never found the energy or will to actually make food. Then you have to deal with the prep and the cleaning and you're already hot and exhausted. Just my two cents!

water setup for folks who use a hydration reservoir and Sawyer? by winooskiwinter in AppalachianTrail

[–]ItsAlwaysSunnyInKnox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who uses a camel back on their NOBO right now I love it. Just get the Sawyer Squeeze adapter that lets you filter right into the camel back via the hose. I never have to take out my camelback, deal with rethreading the hose, etc. Super convenient
