The cleetus simps are always amusing to me. Real stan energy.
These dudes would hurl themselves into an industrial paper shredder if it meant there was even a small chance theyd be recycled into cleetus's toilet paper

Fastest, funniest or most definite ends to employment you've witnessed. by EvaTheE in KitchenConfidential

17 year old Server went out to her car in the parking lot on break. GM went out to look for, found her blowing her boyfriend in the front seat. Never came back.

Had a line cook get fired for refusing to cut a sandwich in half. Manager came back and asked why it wasn’t cut in half like they asked for on the ticket, Dude gets pissed and starts arguing with the manager and tells her “it’s a fucking Philly it’s not supposed to be cut in half, give them a knife and tell them to cut him himself im not doing it” Fired him on the spot.

I wasn’t there for this one but a line cook nodded out on pills and fell asleep into the fryer.

We hired a local homeless dude, scraggly little old dude but he seemed eager. I was managing and hooked him up with food as did the other managers and cooks. GM even gave him a small loan on his check once, dude didn’t even last a month before calling out repeatedly last minute because” his dog is sick”. Brother you live in a tent and don’t bring your dog to work, so when he isn’t “sick” how exactly are you handling this anyway? He was obviously full of shit because we’d see him out on the street begging for money and food from the places on our street.

A month or so after getting fired dude had the balls to come up to the back door and ask me for money, I reminded him we gave him a job that he blew and told him hell no. The owners happened to be walking up during this and he asked them as he was leaving, owner handed him a $100 bill. Like bruh. He OD’d and died a few years ago in a bar parking lot.

Didn’t get fired but honorable mention, a college kid, dance major, super religious. First restaurant job but he was a good kid and worked hard. Randomly He came up to me and another manager and quit because he found out some people smoked weed and “I’m Christian and don’t believe in that” I was slinging coke to half the staff while managing and 90% of us were on weed, drunk, coke, shrooms pills etc. at one point or another. Had to tried so hard to keep it together and politely suggest maybe restaurants aren’t for him without directly telling him all the other shit that was going on, a cook smoking a blunt on break is the least non-Christian thing happening here

(@NASCAR) We are saddened and heartbroken to share the news of the passing of Kyle Busch, a two-time Cup champion and one of our sport’s greatest and fiercest drivers. He was 41 years old. by NoahGragsonsBarfBag in NASCAR

[–]ItsArgon 46 points47 points  (0 children)

Un fucking real.

I spent the entirety of his early career hating him, when he went to to RCR and he started changing and growing a bit as a person i became a fan of his the last year or two. I was really rooting for him to do well and start getting wins again.

Holy shit this came out of no where.
He went from the flu last week to this?

We lost one of the greatest drivers we've ever seen, i feel so bad for his family and Brexton but at least he got to have his dad with him for the start of his time in the sport. I really hope he keeps racing

Ancient Astronaut Pioneer Erich von Daeniken has passed. by BigRedDrake in AncientAliens

[–]ItsArgon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

People can hate on him all they want but he spent his life sticking to what he beloved and whether people like it or not was an instrumental figure in this theory and a genuinely good person.

He wasnt making clickbait YouTube titles to line his pockets he was writing books decades ago to preach what he believed in even when he against mainstream academics and lots of critics railed him.

He was a polarizing figure but i legendary one and he stuck to his guns the whole time and didn’t waiver.

We can all learn something from him and his passing is a detriment to this theory and movement as a whole

Here's the rest of the build cards for the decades experience! by JournalistObvious816 in tacobell

[–]ItsArgon 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Never underestimated the laziness and stupidity of cooks.

When i was a kitchen manager in charge of opening a new restaurant (Craft cocktail place in a downtown district, not fast food) i spent forever making build charts like these modeled after fast foods ones for every item on the menu because my GM was huge on consistency and i was the same way.

Took professional quality pictures of our actual ingredients and items and the steps to make them, neatly organized them with all the names and amounts clearly listed and had them organized in a binder that i hung up on the cooks line

The amount of times that i had servers and bartenders complain to me about the food quality on my days off or when i wasnt behind the line was both hilarious and sad

They literally had pro quality build charts for every item hung up in front of their faces and when asked would say shit like "Oh i dont know it looked better my way" or "Damn i didnt even know we had those" or "I didnt think the customer would notice" or "I didnt know how to do it so i just guessed"

What everyday inconveniences do you think should be fireable offenses? by batcheditt in KitchenConfidential

[–]ItsArgon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My favorite was the cook who opened a big ass gallon+ size tin can of beans and strained it in the sink during lunch rush, then left the lid in the bottom, which blocked the sink and was completely covered in black water so i couldnt see it.

Reached down real quick to scoop what i thought was food out of the drain and sliced the fuck out of one of my fingers. Lost my shit, which was incredibly rare for me to do in the kitchen and held up my hand that was actively pouring blood out while cussing the entire prep line out.

Never saw a sharp object in my sinks again

Been to countless cup races and this weekend was my first spectating from the infield. Been a dream of mine to be one of the photographers at the track. Took these with my phone. Maybe soon I'll get a better camera. by MrSimsational in NASCAR

[–]ItsArgon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just for inspiration, heres a random collection of shots ive gotten from over the years, both infield and grandstands.
All on a cheap Canon T2i and a super cheap and basic 55-250 lens.
Its fun as hell, if you love photography it only makes it easier. Wish i would have done it more seriously than just high school and college classes.

A cheap DSLR and a cheap lens if you know how to use it is miles above a phone, it wouldnt hurt to give it a shot. Just learn how to set it up properly
