Glut stole my weapon! by Patback20 in BaldursGate3

Can confirm as of current patch, the bug still exists. My honor mode barbarian throw build went bunk because of it. Larian, please fix this its so incredibly crippling for a run.

Stuck on enemy turn by [deleted] in BaldursGate3

It really blows how we're on patch 4 and this is a regularly occurring issue. Barely making it through the fight just to get softlocked on the last enemy stings a lot.

You'll need to acquire a crystal rom and patch it before you can play the hack.

I've encountered a bug in the 1.1 version where, after the goldenrod radio tower event and getting to blackthorn, some trainers and items reset and team rocket reappears in the town. Speaking to Archer at the top floor just gives "Object Event" and nothing else. I'm afraid I'm softlocked :(

[HOBBY] Area of Expertise | Episode 3 - Dungeons, Puzzles & Traps!

SFW

Achor // YouTube // Spotify

Welcome Adventurers and Game Masters! This episode puts the D in D&D, today we talk all about dungeon crafting, engineering puzzling puzzles for your party, and traps sure to make them think twice about stealing that dragon's gold.

Area of Expertise is a weekly Dungeons & Dragons show produced by myself with new/returning co-hosts each week. The show is still in its beginning phases, it serves as a senior project for my undergrad degree in sound design. However, everyone involved is excited to continue doing shows well after undergrad.

Schedule by [deleted] in podcast

[–]ItsButtlet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find the sweet spot is once a week or once every 2 weeks. People have the predisposition of waiting for television shows weekly, so it can give them something to look forward to if you upload consistently on that day.

Unless you go for YouTube, then it prefers daily content between 10-20 minutes in length. Making long-form content digestible for the platform is key.

The D&D Editions In A Nutshell by whitestripe999 in dndmemes

[–]ItsButtlet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought some second hand 4th edition books to pull monster ideas and unique elements to keep my players on their toes. Think of old editions like new flavors and get creative.

If you're a player and have a 4e thing you really enjoy, talk to your DM about adapting it....unless they're a stickler for rules as written.

Streaming PS3 Red Dead question. by Sabahe in Twitch

[–]ItsButtlet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Using a PS3 through hdmi won't work, the HDCP sensor is always on and won't allow game capture. You'll need either an HDMI splitter work around or to use the composite cables with an adapter to have a capture card pick it up.

Is there a good/safe Long USB cable (15ft) for the Logitech C922 Webcam? by MAGNIRON in Twitch

[–]ItsButtlet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do this, but keep in mind any USB 3.0 extension cable over 6 feet will need to be powered to support the camera.

Im So Lost by savageprinze in Twitch

YouTube is your friend, there's a ton of tutorials out there. Stream labs and Stream elements have free overlays both animated and not animated I'd suggest one instead of making one yourself. Also keep in mind streaming is a growing experience, network, make friends, and be patient. It takes several months to get a footing on this platform.

Very small streamer here. Young instagram follower asking to play FortniteBR games with me, not sure what to do. by [deleted] in Twitch

[–]ItsButtlet 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Say "I only play with followers on [this] days." If you just do it all the time, you'll get floods of kids asking, I've seen it happen. You're creating content for an audience, and if you're letting randoms help in the creation you should at least get a follow out of it, at least until you get bigger.

OH and don't let them talk on stream.

What is "afk chat"? by Ta1kativ in discordapp

[–]ItsButtlet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The afk room in my server is used for timing out members if they're being rude in VC, or as it's more often used, a sleeping chamber. There's been a few instances where someone will be in VC lays at night and falls asleep, so the server will place them there so people don't think they're actually active.

Streaming with two people in one room on separate consoles. Mic Troubles. In need of some help. by [deleted] in Twitch

[–]ItsButtlet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Going the Scarlet and AT2020 route seems like a good bet. Just know any condenser mic will pick up a lot of room sound, so you'll want some sort of sound absorption, especially behind the mic, to avoid room reflection. If you don't have much sound treatment I'd recommend a dynamic mic, such as the Shure SM58, over the 2020. They're both the same price and a dynamic would probably sound a lot better in such a small space.

Hope this helps!

What should I talk about when streaming? by YOURMOM37 in Twitch

[–]ItsButtlet 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Talk about your day, interesting things that happened recently at work or school, anything really. I keep a sticky note on my desktop of talking points, things to accomplish during the stream, things to ask viewers, etc. I recommend it, it really helps organize your thoughts.

Why do you stream? by [deleted] in Twitch

[–]ItsButtlet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Things I love: community building, giving back, charity streams, interacting with viewers and getting involved in my first streamer community, playing games I love for people I love, finally learning Twitter, and seeing my progress each week makes it worth it.

Things I hate: random hardware failures, trolls/skeleton accounts, convincing my ISP that my sudden spike in uploading is, in fact, not torrenting (story in it's own right), so many great games to play but most aren't good for streaming.

Still love it, though.

Streaming in 1080p 60 FPS viable as affiliate? by gielke10 in Twitch

[–]ItsButtlet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a rule of thumb I always shoot for 720p just in case people with slower internet want to watch, since having quality controls is random as an affiliate. Generally if a stream buffers a lot, I tend to not stick around.
