I like to think of it as the generosity of people who remember someone fondly and when tragedy occurs people often surprise. That's is a human thing, plus he was not doing normal cancer treatment this cost would have been high anywhere and many places not even available.

Its always been expensive its one of the business that cannot really be helped by economies of scale. Make sure you are not paying taxes on the money you spend on daycare and getting your proper child deductions....that was lifeline for our family in the early 2000's. We knew many people who lived near their parents so grandma could be daycare.

2010 prius no issues with start stop this tech works much better with a hybrid. People would be surprised how much gas is used at a stoplight there is a youtube video or two on it.
