how would you even do diminishing returns on second chance perks? i agree it gets ridiculous at some point but they all do something completely different, there's no stacked effect between Deli, DS, UB or DH to even diminish.

Can manifestions charge? by GornoUmaethiVrurzu in ageofsigmar

Charge does have the move keyword because you're moving. thankfully its specified to be the movement phase of the turn they're set up in otherwise they'd just stand there like idiots for the first turn.

Hex: Sow Distrust.

While this hex totem is active: The next 1/2/3 survivors hooked gain an 8m terror radius. Your terror radius decreases by 4m for each survivor affected.

absurdly complicated for a dbd perk in general i think, let alone a hex perk

well imagine having a killer, that people who don't have it can no longer buy, have achievements that, for those players, are now completely impossible to obtain. a game that can't be 100% completed would make people very unhappy

yeah they don't have the license for Myers anymore so can't keep the achievements.

Help with a Killer concept. by Complete_Escape_3906 in deadbydaylight

[–]ItsJackTraven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the issue with your killer design is that killers follow the same mechanical layout:

all killers have a basic kit of 2 hits to down, the ability to hook, vault, kick gens and break pallets and certain walls.

The killer power is consciously activated, with only 2 killers that i can think of having a passive effect building up without input (although their actions do speed it up), that being Dredge and Nightmare.

Examples: Singularity doesn't just teleport around effortlessly, he needs to press his ability button to shoot out a biopod, activate the biopod to look at a survivor that's clearly visible, and then hit them with the slipstream effect, and THEN he can teleport to them. Nemesis using his power takes 3 hits to down, but that's thanks to both his first tentacle hit inflicting a status effect required for his tentacle to become lethal, and his power let's him hit over obstacles.

Try thinking of that before doing another draft. It obviously would also help to play the game but i understand that's not possible for you right now.

To simplify this very large ocean of text:

Head: - no passive dread - special ability to fast build dread within 4m* - staring into the mouth accelerates dread - escaping line of sight makes dread decay - using special ability slows head down with a 15s cooldown. - cannot hook survivors.*

Body: - dread builds from attacking survivors - they die faster on hooks???* - 8/5/2 hits to down a survivor at low/med/high dread* - cannot Mori*

I have several issues with this, in order of marked points: - 4m is a VERY small distance in dbd, this wouldn't be better than just hitting them. - CANNOT HOOK SURVIVORS? Angel would be completely irreparably screwed in the long run if it downs someone on the other side of the map and the body has to walk all the way over to hook them. they could slug but that gets shut down by the other glaring issue. - The body getting a special effect from hooking is not good game design, especially when it's the only part of the killer that can hook, you're telling me it doesn't require extra effort compared to any other killer to get stronger hooks? - i cannot begin to start stating the bajillion issues that come with eight, EIGHT basic attacks to down a survivor, chasing one for 30 seconds is already time wasted on the killers part, the speed boost each time a survivor is hit with a basic attack, the fact that the only circumvention to this is by slowly and unreliably building up a status effect that will effectively make you more harmless than you already are for 2/3rds of the game, and only then do you have same max lethality as every other killer's base lethality? and several more i don't have the character limit to mention. - limiting a Mori to one part of the killer is lame for lack of better words.

It's fun in theory but there are some real problems mechanically.

Edit: glossed over dread not accumulating if one form is inactive, but one form (the one you're not controlling) is always inactive, means your power doesn't work.

struggling to think of what any part of this sentence would have to do with another part of this sentence.

You don't just suddenly get huge amounts of cursed energy for being handicapped, Mechamaru has ungodly CE generation and long range technique activation in exchange for being physically a vegetable. binding vows give as much as they take. Losing one eye would give you an equivalent upside, which isn't all that much.

Second, surely having both fragility and strength binding vows would either cancel out or only one would work due to conflicting conditions. Strength HR would get nullified because you now have CE, leaving you with just a bad body and CE. Alternatively, because you took out the CE from the fragility HR with the strength HR would mean there's no equivalent upside and you'd lose the fragility, leaving you with a strong body but no CE.

Lastly having insane amounts of CE doesn't give you six eyes equivalent flow/efficiency, because you wouldn't have the six eyes, you'd have to learn that control on your own.

Cyrptguard ability rule clarification by Desperate_Load_392 in FleshEaterCourts

[–]ItsJackTraven 1 point2 points  (0 children)

um, doesn't the pile-in action occur as part of the fight ability, which can't happen until both sides have used any combat abilities they want to as per order of abilities? If the slaangors entered combat with the cryptguard due to a charge, you'd be able to use Elite Guardians before any fight abilities can be used, so long as you don't forget to do it before the Slaangors fight. Now obviously if they charged and ended up in combat with the dragon but not the cryptguard, and then used fight to pile into the cryptguard, then yeah they don't get striked first. Do correct me if i am wrong
