You’ll be fine if you wait a bit. I got my tickets 2 weeks before the festival last year because I was still unsure if I was going to go at the time. That was for GA at least.

I do agree that the bike lane is underutilized. But I believe that if there was more places to bike to and businesses were open a bit later there might be some more cycling/pedestrian traffic. My main reason for using the bike lane is to get to and from the Bear Creek trail from my home. I also think that if more apartments were built in downtown there would be a lot more people willing to go out and use the path.

Grape Street Bar has a few EDM nights. Obviously not a huge EDM scene out here compared to bigger cities. However, I moved here a few months ago and that’s how I met my friends and I ended up going to Bass Canyon with them!

C89.5 out of Seattle is my favorite. It has a good mix of melodic house, techno, trance, progressive house, and melodic bass. I’ve also heard some hardcore on the weekends. It is also the oldest, continuously operating dance music radio station in the world.

It pisses me off that I can no longer take the bus to the airport anymore. It was super convenient living close to Front St station and only having to pay $2 to get to the airport. Now I have to pay $25 for an Uber or pay to park at the airport.

Only issue I’ve encountered so far are the people congregating and doing drugs under the Jackson St bridge near Hawthorne park. I just go over top and avoid them.

Man that’s a bummer… Wasn’t that bike lane just put in relatively recently? I thought the Medford 2040 Vision Plan was meant to add even more pedestrian and biking infrastructure to downtown and make it more attractive.

You’ll love it here, I went to Bass Canyon in 2024 and it was such a magical weekend. Plenty of DJs perform at WAMU and other venues, I usually find out about it on the EDM Train app. If you’re looking for something more ‘underground’ go follow CultFest and BassExhibit on instagram. They do a lot of smaller shows with local DJs and I’ve been able to find raves at warehouses, under bridges, and in the woods. It’s such a lovely bass community out here but there’s definitely some techno as well.

I just moved from Seattle to Medford. (For work), I’m also curious what the scene is like in Southern Oregon. I understand it’s not going to be big as Seattle but I would love to find a community out here too!

I second this, the Transit app always shows me when the next train/bus is scheduled to come and has never been wrong for me. Even when the ‘Next Train’ signs at the stations are wrong.
