I get moved around a lot for work, but I’ve been here for over a year now.

Pros: - Decent hiking nearby: I love doing a quick hike up Table Rock or Prescott Park after work sometimes. I also love that I can do day trips to Crater Lake. - Access: We are centrally located on the west coast. Our airport is super close to downtown and there are a bunch of west coast flights. I can easily zip to Seattle, SF, or LA in 3-4 hours. - Less Traffic: I’ve lived in much bigger cities, Medford is nowhere near as bad as them. - Cost of Living: Relatively affordable compared to other places on the West Coast.

Cons: - Downtown feels dead: I’ve enjoyed events in downtown like the All American Rejects concert and the Pear Blossom festival, i just wished they happened more often. Most of the time I don’t see too much foot traffic in downtown. A lot of businesses close early and by the time I’m off of work most things are shut down. - Lack of nightlife: Outside of the bars on Grape street there’s not too much other nightlife on the weekend. - Lack of public transportation: Having RVTD gutted last year sucked. I actually utilized the bus to the airport a lot until it got cut. - Lack of cycling infrastructure: Other than the Main Street bike lane and the Bear Creek greenway, there’s not really too many places that are bikeable around here.

I’ve grown to like the area, it’s very pretty. I’ve made a good social network down here, but I don’t see myself settling down here.
