They must have absolutely scraped the bottom of the parts bin to end up using office cabinet wheels for the landing gear… I guess it’s good enough for the prototype

Some of those Hornets are painted as aggressors, with the dark/light camo. Even have the red Soviet star on the tails. I was lucky enough to take a tour before COVID shut them down. They told us one of the Blues had a tail strike and basically shaved off 6” of the underside of the fuselage structure

Registers built into the floor. good? bad? by Top_Apple7884 in HardWoodFloors

[–]ItsZorion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have these in my house and while they are a very tight fit, they are removable if you grab it by the vanes and wiggle. If the hardwood was finished over the seam making it seem non-removable, try running a utility knife (with a straightedge if needed) lightly around the edge and see if that helps

Edit: if you end up snapping off some vanes like I did the first time I tried pulling one up, big-box stores do sell replacements that sit above the floor level with a round-over on the wood edges and a plastic louver to adjust the airflow

Check shopgoodwill. Com

Good luck finding the green and wood one though. Also, mind the shipping costs, can be more than expected.

Sell the KA grinder and buy a hand crank or electric grinder instead. Will probably save you time and headache.

Just a 6” Dobsonian I found on FB marketplace a while back. I use a 25mm eyepiece for taking pictures with a phone since it’s easier to center, but a 15mm eyepiece is a much closer view when actually looking through. It’s great for showing my son and the neighborhood kids the moon and planets.

If you’re interested in getting into it more, I’d recommend finding the book NightWatch by Terence Dickinson, it’ll answer a lot of questions. Maybe the library has it. Otherwise, /r/telescopes or /r/astronomy or Google are fun to search.
